He lived here in the Villages for about 1.5 years. Not a fun time. Did love the nuclear buffalo wings from Beef O'Bradies. I cannot even handle the mild buffalo wings at that. |

The miracle will definitely happen! |
Don't ever worry about yours truly. I may be outta shape I may have drunk like a Viking for too long, I may have smoked more than the Marlboro Man I may have more medical problems than Carters got Pills. I've got the best friends on here and in regular life. I've got Doctors I wouldn't trade the world for. I've got a Wifey who went to N.J. with me so I could spend an hour being Santa. I see miracles happen in front of my face constantly. I am NOTHING but a Lucky Nucky. This dog that's on the way has me jazzed up and a whole lot has to go right for it to happen but I have no doubt it will work out. I'm so sure its the right one that I don't even feel like I'm cheating ON OUR BOY BARNEY. It feels so good.

When miracles happen you don't ask why or how, you just thank God. To quote a Nuckyism, today is a "betterer" day. Hoping and praying for more miracles to happen. :doggie:
Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers. Today is Tuesday, January, 8th. I hope it's NOTHING but a good day for all of you. |

I do not think my fellow woodpecker bird watchers read the NOTHING thread. They do not seem big of computers as most of my friends seem to avoid Facebook and Talk of the Villages and the like. They are some who do look at NOTHING though but do not post as far as I know. |

Since none of you are around today, I'll do all the talking. Hey, did I just hear someone say, so what else is new? Lol

So I thank you all again for the support and caring you provided through that time. If NOTHING else, even by just giving me the time and space I needed. And by carrying on with NOTHING was also a big comfort even if I didn't feel up for participating. I don't know how I got so blessed to find a bunch of NOTHINGS like all of you, but instead of questioning it, I'm just gonna run with it. Love you guys. |
I've been doing a different kind of NOTHING organizing our music files and making a playlist for Alexa. She can be fun but she also requires a bit of maintenance to get her to do all of the things that you want from her. Just as computers were supposed to reduce the amount of paper and now there is more paper usage than ever. :ohdear:

Spike & Ruby were both rescues and in spite of over $5,000 in surgeries for Ruby (note the edge of the steps at the very bottom of the photo, that she needed to get up on anything)...there was never a question of trying to help her. Just be ready though, to try and stop (I couldn't) your 'Bagel'...from trying to sleep between your legs every night. |

I totally respect immensely the decision to not go thru the pain again, I can dig it. I was thinking the same way. I had a friend tell me one day what a waste it was for somebody who loves them the way we do to not take a chance. I thought about it and planted the seed for my wife to see it the way I did. It took more than 6 months and it was a go then a no go and back and forth several times. It's because it was meant to be that this dog was meant to be with us. Someone let him out of their car and drove away. This is not possible in my little world. Must be a really desperate person who did this. I had a German Sheppard or a CFRANE dog in mind, not something so little. Anyway, I went today for visitation and the entire section of CellBlock 8 was howling to beat the band until Eight saw his new Daddy and not one peep outta him the rest of the time I was with him. The others didn't stop with the sideshow! Man I'm so happy now I have no words for this feeling, maybe this is pure JOY, I dunno. NOTHING could be Betterererer! :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl: I'm gonna go get Eight a new Posturpedic bed and a Baby Carriage and teach him how to save chairs at the square, NOT! :1rotfl::1rotfl: Just the bed! EIGHT :mademyday:. |

Many stories over the years about people rescuing dogs on my favorite place to B.S. I know better now, shame on me if I didn't go this route. I'm not judging anyone else either. If they want a puppy or a dog from the store its none of my business. But they have tons of cutie pies at the ASPCA. Lake, Sumter, Marion all just great places. NOTHING but love for what they do for all these critters. I almost just Goofified Up. That would be NOTHING but Jacked Up Grandma just like your Toenail's. :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl: |
I'm not going to congratulate you until the little guy is totally moved in! Until then, I am waiting with nothing but bated breath for you and Mrs. N. Hope you don't have to wait too long.

We only have to pick out the best name we would have but NOTHING no way would have thought of on our own! It's one that was previously used and is a sweet rememberance of our old home and several friends had the name. It was used by NOTHING but a good friend and we hope it can be passed down to us. Time will tell. It's not Vito or Rocco! But its in the Neighborhood!

Just in case, I have spent the last 15 minutes doing nothing but trying to find the meaning of the name Carmine. Should be easy. Right? But I keep finding different meanings for the name: — Of song — Of the garden — Of the vineyard — Of the orchard — A deep red color (Lots of different meanings for Carmine but all good ones.) Anyway, Nucky, a dog by any name will be a joy to you and yours. I will be tuning in to the Nothing thread and wishing you the best. :) |

Since there was good news when I came home from work on Monday, maybe there will be good news again when I get home today - that Lucky Nucky got his puppy. Bacciagalupe: Italian slang for a pompous greaseball guido. Used to describe a stereotypical sleezeball Staten Islander.
Seriously, I did not make up this derogatory definition: Urban Dictionary: Bacciagalupe I nothing but hate it! Nucky -- the right name is out there -- and it will be PERFECTO! |

I think he could call him Munch. I know...I don't know where I come up with them either. |
