Here's some entertainment for you -
Sometimes I think K would make the perfect husband for me. Now don't get too excited and let's not start any rumors, just hear me out. I like having my mornings to myself and I like them to be quiet. I can get up at a reasonable hour somewhere between 6 & 8 and know that K won't be on here til about 11 or 11:30. I like predictability. There's NOTHING like that here. My husband's hours are all over the board and like a box of chocolates, I never know what I'm gonna get in the morning. Then there's the fact that K's bedtime is much later than mine meaning it will be easier to keep the fire burning. I don't mean that fire - I mean the fireplace fire! It's always a big deal here about who's gonna roll out of bed first and take care of stoking the fire. God forbid should the heater turn on - lol And last but not least - he's 3000 miles away and I can turn him off and on with a tap of a computer button......:1rotfl::1rotfl: Disclaimer to dispel any ridiculous rumors this could foster: There is no trouble in paradise in this household. Some mornings I just miss my lengthy quiet time.......:sigh: |

We will be out of the 224,999 range at the next hourly count on NOTHING. I lived in Denver, Colorado for a year and Minneapolis, MN for 5.5 years. But I abandoned a car in Belmont, CA in 1985 having had enough of driving in winter conditions as well as heavy SF Bay area traffic. When I got to Minneapolis in 1986 I relied on public transportation and my own two feet. My car spun out in Salt Lake City on the highway around December of 1983 and I spent a few hours of the 1983 New Year's Eve with my front wide shield facing the highway while I was stuck in a snow bank outside of Cheyenne, WY. Then there was that attempted car jacking in Eastern Nevada in June of 1984. |

NOTHING is ever perfect! Amazing how that fits right in with our thread. Just grateful we NOTHINGs have been blessed with wonderful spouses and praying for Tal to someday find the same. |
I'm NOTHING but a follower today. I'm trying to reclaim my office. So far I've shredded two garbage bags worth of paper.. If we have a parade I can bring the confetti.. lol

Had a lot of dinners with two very Catholic women Spanish Professors while at the U of MN in our dorm. They were from Bilbao. These were graduate students who taught undergraduate Spanish. I often hung around with the international students in the dorm as I had little in common with the law students. There was a history Graduate student at the U of MN who was kind of a friend and we had things in common and he hung around with this international group especially those from Latin America or Spain. He was from Texas. |

I am a shredder big time but had to replace them yearly until I got a Fellowes Shredder about 5 years ago, it can take the heat but now not too much paperwork to shred. Another NOTHING but a benefit of The Villages. :clap2: |

Ahhhh......back from the gym and nobody is awake yet.......heavenly. Simple things make me so happy. Shredding is another one of those simple things, so I guess that makes us all part of the shred club - lol.
Today is Sunday, January 20th. Haven't even had my first cup of coffee yet so be back in 2 seconds to NOTHING. |

Just got off the phone with the grandkids up north and no snow yet. Even though the really big storms concern me down here I enjoy the trade-off of No Mo Sno. |

I never really found any taste for coffee. Have some diet sodas instead. Had to switch to diet after I started to get dizzy often from too much sugar. Bought some diet soda this morning and got checked out by a cute cashier named Emily. Too young for me but nice on the eyes. |

My grandmother used to make homemade root beer. I remember lining the bottles up in the bathtub for a period of time to be sure the bottles wouldn't explode before refrigerating them. NOTHING but delicious! |

Enjoying the hell out of the Football Games so far today. I'll let you know if it was a full day of enjoyment later. It so much better when no betting is involved. :a040: |
I do not drink soda of any kind and am a Starbucks fan.
We went to the Pencil Drawing Art fair today which is not anything I would normally do but one of the artists is the sister of one of our neighbors so we had to vote for her. Art is not of interest to me and when we went to see the Mona Lisa I thought it was NOTHING but an ugly little painting. I like more earthy things like glass and pottery. |
