Avoid those monkeys. Unless it's in monkey stew. I was told by a local that eating monkey is encouraged. It could have been NOTHING but an old wives tale.
Monkey problem to be reduced on island - The St Kitts Nevis Observer

Cook 'em? Monkeys have islanders eyeing options - World news - World environment | NBC News

"Joseph Kelly, a Basseterre resident in his 60s, said getting more people to eat vervet is likely the only way of controlling the population. He said decades ago, monkey meat used to be found simmering in stews in most island kitchens. But only older people will seek it out now.

"When you skin it you'd be surprised at how much meat some of those monkeys have on their bones," he said. "Cook it up in a stew, well, it's very nice, very flavorful. Tastes a lot like goat. Why, I'd like some right now.""

I am having to do Minnesota like layering for FLORIDA. NOTHING but a lot of added laundry because of trying to stay warm. Had to do laundry often when in MN, IL, WI and the while working at Sky Tavern on Mt. Rose near Lake Tahoe, CA/NV.

There is absolutely NOTHING related to eating that should involve monkeys. Among many other diseases, HIV was spread to humans by monkeys.
