How about NOTHING but the Palmolive under the tires to move a car so we could make a Concrete Delivery. Or else you go in the Concrete, you picking up what I'm laying down?
More medical stuff over here at Mash 4077. Not me the boss. NOTHING but a day at a time over here. To much spicy food. |

One other truck had 9 yards of concrete set up inside the barrel when they sent a tiny tow truck to pull out a close to 70,000 lb truck. They have people you can hire who drill through the concrete in the truck and put a kind of a charge, similar to Dy-No-Mite. The actually yelled Fire In The Hole and hit the Plunger Like Gomez Addams and the truck jumped about 6" off the ground. :boom: It broke up the load into manageable pieces and the whole truck was jackhammered out. I Love Concrete. Bet you never heard that before. What a great way to make a living. Wouldn't trade it for the world. Another Happy Memory for me brought to you by NOTHING! :boxing2: |
And since we are on the topic of concrete (are we really?) ... I have always admired really good brick work -- with particular attention to the pointing. Many years ago I attempted a DIY project to repair my brick patio. BIG MISTAKE. First of all, what is that stuff in-between the bricks? You got your cement, you got your concrete, mortar, stucco, gypsum, grout, plaster, etc. etc. ad nauseum. Ask anyone to clearly define the difference in these products. HAH. Regardless, the instructions are usually the same with slight variations "Just add water or Just add water and sand, and mix". Simple,
Yet working with this stuff for a neophyte is the same as telling someone who has never cooked that in order to make great artisan bread, just mix water and flour, knead and bake. So much for the digression into what was once nothing but total frustration. This page has pictures of what I consider good and bad brick work: MyWay How I admire skilled bricklayers (and bread makers for that matter). |

Btw, about your link and the pictures - I'm quite sure at least half of the NOTHINGs on here are not even going to notice the bad brick work in that last photo. Is that you, BK? You did say it was many years ago - lol |

The technicalities of Concreto Are really amazing. I worked at a Quarry before the Concrete business and I would never guess how technical making a stone actually is. I can tell you one ting, working with Brick is NOTHING but an art and I think you either have the skill or look at that last picture. It's rough. When working with concrete, heat, time and water are the enemy of concrete. I wonder what additive they use to keep the concrete alive in Florida considering the heat?
When people had conversations about the thickness of pavers last year on TOTV'S I would get upset that they were making a mistake cause I wanted to save them money and the heartache of doing a simple job twice but now, OH Well, Do yo own thing! I'm Jiggy Wit It! I need a NOTHING to! |

Boy, I think I really messed up the morning check-in schedule on this thread. Although, fw has a good reason to not be here, it seems that other NOTHINGs are getting as negligent as me. My MO is not usually to be a bad example........the key word being "usually". :o

University of Nevada, Reno is losing to Utah State in Men's Basketball. NOTHING but upsetting. They need to get their act together for the big dance if they get in that is.
My sister-in-law's team men's basketball-- the Virginia Cavaliers-- are doing quite well. I do not even bother to follow the U of Denver Pioneers nor the U of MN Gophers basketball as they have not been all that good of late. Maybe the U of MN Women's basketball will do OK. |

The latest is International calls from The British Virgin Islands that can't be blocked. 3.58 AM was the first call today. We have every call blocker possible activated and still they worm their way through. Just another day in the life. As long as Momma  is ok we'll be fine. Talk to you all later. |
Good morning Everyone,
Sorry Mrs. N isn't feeling well. C'mon guys, let's all get healthy! I finally got into the new Primary Care Doc -- he's got his hands full with all the referral requests I need. I have never been in an HMO plan before. You need referrals for everything and their job is to try to prevent as many as possible. There is even a sign in his office that says "In an emergency call our office first before going to the ER." They don't call them "gatekeepers" for nothing. I told the Doc not to worry about it -- we will make up for it next week when DH comes in for his initial appointment. Fortunately, he has no medical issues (that we know of). |

Was busy cleaning house and the like this morning. And was away from NOTHING.
Hawaii has 52 Villages households with: Kentucky having 507 Villages households. One of my favorite people I met near the Villages is from Louisville, KY even if she is rather a huge challenge. She was married to a lawyer. Maybe that is why I like her. The lawyer part and that she is hard to get a grip on. She moved out of the Villages' proper but is still rather close. New York has a whopping 6,303. And I will bet it is a lot higher if people from NY identified themselves that way after moving somewhere else and then coming to the Villages. Ohio has 3229. Rhode Island 488. Virginia 1630. Quote:

I would like to NOTHING but address the health thing. We are in a struggle to straighten out or at least not continue the bad habits of the past. I'm better than when we got here because of the Doctors that I've been directed to or the ones I've investigated or chosen. I had two people who helped me get on the better track when I first moved here and I'm grateful to them as they were in the Healthcare field. Still, have a long way to go. Some damage is not repairable but that's OK.
I usually have the patience of a Saint but have to be honest that when Mrs. Nucky is lumped up it's hard for me to see her hurting. I don't mind in fact I like picking up the household duties as best as I can because when she's at full steam it's better to just stay out of the way. I came downstairs to eat and the last thing I had was those Chalupas last night, I'm about ready to NOTHING but rip off my arm and Barbeque it. :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl: I'm not really sure how she is feeling because she always says better when I ask her. So instead of being a pain I'm just laying low and being supportive and venting here. She will probably like to go for a ride later tonight. We'll see. If you don't have your health you don't have NOTHING! So many people have problems so much worse. The best thing to do is lay a Prayer  out for them. Better than stewing here! :blahblahblah: |
We're in the midst of most likely the biggest snowstorm of the season, potentially 7 inches or more, and my carefree, no worries husband decides it's a great time to go to the gym!! He thought he was pretty crafty sneaking out in the midst of my 2 hour nap (yes, you heard right - 2 hours!). Well, I was relaxed after that nap until I found him missing. Guess I'll just focus on NOTHING to try to stay relaxed until he gets home. If not, he'll be in for some :boxing2: for worrying me like this.
