Just finished watching NOTHING but The Green Book! Wow! What a great movie. Lot's of feelings.
The car was RED so the DEERS could see you tooling down the road. Besides when you get down to the Earthly Promised Land I think a MINI COOPER Covertriple would be a great car for you. You were on the lamb when I got my Ultra Magnificent Keurig Turbo Coffee Maker Complete with a Lifetime supply of Pacific Bold K-Cups. I am going to hook it up to brand new plumbing so I never have to bother filling the water tank. I'm very serious about coffee. The only thing that may goof me up a little is WAWA is opening just outside The Gate Of Golf Cart Controversy over on this side of Our Little Paradise. It's a thrill to surprise the Wifey with new cars, I've done it twice. It was a VW Bug around 1999 & a 2003 Pepper White & Black Roof Mini. Felt great. It is better to give than receive. But enough time has passed and I'm ready to receive now! Just kidding! :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl: There will be a Yugo in the garage tomorrow. |
Hubby and I NOTHING but loved Green Book too. Lot of feelings is right and the fact that it was based on a true story always makes a movie extra-special. We could relate to the Italian family scenes and interactions. After the holiday scene when they showed all of the family around the table and everyone was talking at the same time and the noise level was LOUD, I turned to my husband and said "Gee it feels like we just visited with your family" - lol.
When a movie can make you both really laugh and cry, it's a good one in my book. |
So everything just died in our house. Well, no people, but all of a sudden everything just went totally black. Sure glad hubby just got home a bit ago. Never heard the power go out so quietly as it just did.......very eerie.....like in a scary movie or something. I mean it just went from light to pitch black. See, if I didn't have my cell phone right now, I'd have NOTHING!

Since it sounds like the power might not be restored until tomorrow sometime, I guess I better say NOTHING more and sign off to conserve some power on this thing. Good night everyone!

:welcome: luperona9! Don't make yourself a stranger around here. While we're on the subject of NOTHING, I might as well take the time to add that this thread originated in the political forum when the proverbial you-know-what was hitting the fan over there. It was an attempt by a small group of us, headed by the Kommander of course, to show that no matter our political persuasion or personal backgrounds (as we were all different as night and day), we could all exist under one roof without turmoil or slinging mud at one another. When the P-forum was shut down, the thread was Kommandeered over to this forum so as to keep it going. So now you know the rest of the story...... |

We may hit that next NOTHING goal today! :a040: Hope I'm around for the celebration and not busy at work when it happens.

ABBY, Your power went out for one of two reasons yesterday. Choice #1 - The plug to your house was pulled out when the Beemer was exiting the garage. Choice #2 your neighbor Mrs. McGillicuddy 1/8 of a mile down on the right past the house with the Cow Shaped Mailbox plugged in her Hmm Hmm Device! Just keeping it clean. This is a family type thread!
Later today either 3 or 4 O'clock is the Doctor Appointment. Gotta have Faith and High Hopes and whatever it is let's get down to business. |

Does the posting participation in this thread make any sort of statement about the level of thought in The Villages? :a040:

FW I guess the time sorta matters but only to us because this particular Doctor uses the Appointment time as a Ballpark Figure. Its cool because he is very Thorough. A place like Lake Eye who did a fine job should make their appointments AM or PM. Their Motto is just wait, We'll get to Ya! :1rotfl: |

History is important so newcomers don't forget the path and sacrifices made by the brave people that came before, perhaps a monument is in order to this wonderful small group of people that started the threat. They may not be with us forever. Please tell me, who are these brave originators that were so forward thinking to create this Haven for all of us despite our political allegiance? I assume you are a founder Abby. Thank you for your service. |

I was in with probably the most powerful group of law librarians in 1991. I lost the kind of game of thrones. I wanted to put survivors/victims of crimes on the throne so to speak. No two victims/survivors of crimes I have talked to are the same though. But I really wanted to get them the most practical information available to make them the most educated and well connected they could be. There have been a lot of changes since 1991 though. |

It's an interesting story. Is there more written about it? But yet a meticulous librarian should never NEVER forget NOTHING. [emoji6] |

It is all over my Facebook page and I have mentioned it to the point of being quite annoying on Talk of the Villages for years. I use my birthday of 2-24 and my number is a 17 week study on stress on the unemployed I was in as subject #613 in late 1992-1993 at the University of California, San Francisco Health Sciences Campus. I showed the interviewer a lot of the documents and such. I was kind of trying to get a date with her even if I was driving in from the Santa Rosa- Petaluma, CA area to San Francisco. Here is something from August 2015 on Talk of the Villages. https://www.talkofthevillages.com/fo...roject-158897/ And I have communicated about it with hundreds of thousands of people since 1991. I have tried to pull in people from multiple disciplines-- social workers, nurses, physicians, lawyers, Hollywood studio executives, writers, journalists, teachers, victim/witness assistance providers, etc. |
