So here's the good news - they're once again looking at putting sewers in on our street. Here's the betterer news - we've had no less than 7 houses in our neighborhood that have gone up for sale this spring and they're selling like hot cakes at top dollar.

Here's the bad news - they haven't made a definite decision about the sewers yet. Here's the worserer news - we may have recently PO'ed some of the bigwigs in the township who make these decisions.

I see this going one of 2 ways - they're either going to play games with us like they did last time and pull the rug out from under us again OR they're going to move forward with the sewers just to get us out of town before we cause more havoc.

I didn't think I would ever be so happy at the thought of being run out of town! :MOJE_whot:

Of course, we could NOTHING but resort to a third tactic if we must. Nucky, are you up for a shakedown? :1rotfl:

There was a cute former nurse yesterday but she is married with a few kids. And not for NOTHING. I have known her since around 2007 or remember bumping into her while donating blood or platelets. And she is sometimes the person sticking me with a needle or needles. Platelets with me usually involves a needle in each arm.

Abby10 05-25-2019 10:56 AM

Well I certainly can't complain about the response time around here - lol.

Now that you're all up and doing NOTHING, I've got to get cleaning. Just found out my aunt and uncle will be making their summer trek up from FL to ME in a week or so and will land here the day after we get home from vacation. Then I go back to work the day after - no rest for the weary around here.

I think there's still one sleepy bear I'm forgetting to wake up though......:undecided:

In an effort to try to get even the thought of K's last post out of my head, let's talk a little country. So fw, although my husband and I listen to and enjoy all kinds of musical genres, he probably listens to more country than I do. I think he often likes NOTHING more than the lyrics/stories behind them than anything else. How about you? I know you and your husband are big fans. Who are your favorite country singers?

I tend to lean toward the more contemporary country artists. Love Brett Young, for example -

I have been listening to country and pop on an Ocala station for a few years. I do like a lot of country music and not for NOTHING.

For some reason this one comes on a lot when I am in the car. REDNECKER (Lyric Video) - HARDY - YouTube

I had never heard the Brett Young "Mercy" song before. Pretty good.

Loved this song and not for NOTHING. I have always been deeply religious but mainly because I wanted to find out why things happen as they do. Why do bad things happen to good people and all that. And despicable people get away with just about anything.

That's pretty funny, Tal, it reminds me of my hometown.......which I was NOTHING but happy to leave at the age of 17 - lol. I do admit to going back to visit family though. Every time there is a funeral or wedding everyone says to my siblings, "I didn't even know you had another sister." They all respond back, "Yeah, she graduated high school, left town and never came back."

That is NOTHING but a wonderful song which successfully crossed the religious genre to the secular due to its popularity. There are lots of books on the topic of which you speak, many of which are wonderful personal stories of how great tragedy led to much good. In fact, there is a movie coming out shortly if it's not already in theatres called, Palau which might interest you. A movie that really struck a chord with my son when he was probably middle school age was called, End of the Spear. I took him to see it when it was in the theaters and he said afterwards "Did that really happen"? It's a good one. Not sure if you can find it anywhere, but if not, when I get down there I have a DVD of it that you can borrow if you'd like.

Since we are country music fans it’s a long list. I like the artists from a few years ago best like Toby Keith, Brooks & Dunn, Chris Stapleton. He likes Hank Williams Jr. and Brad Paisley. NOTHING like some of the newer ones that sound like rap.

I certainly remember that movie. Have not seen it for a long time though. Took some anthropology classes at the University of Nevada, Reno and it was NOTHING but quite interesting how some "primitive" societies interacted with much more technologically advanced ones.

Well we didn't listen to much country music in Brooklyn -- I remember nothing but "All My Exes live in Texas".

First time hearing Mercy and Rednecker. Rednecker is a hoot and a half! "I'm rednecker than you" ... very funny lyrcs.
