We should be moving there in about 4 years unless Mrs. K decides she wants to retire earlier than age 62. I can always hope.

NOTHING but true. Been in Florida since 1996. I get itchy feet sometimes.

13 years in Reno, Nevada with another 2 or so near Stanford (Palo Alto, CA) and then parents lived in Rohnert Park, CA from 1986-1996. I was there from late November 1991 through 1996 with Fall 1994 spent in Chicagoland taking care of my Uncle William before he went into a nursing home.

Year in Denver getting my MA in Librarianship at the U of Denver. And the 5.5 years or so in Minneapolis getting a JD from the U of MN while working there the 2nd half of my 2nd year of law school up through the Summer of 1991.

The Summer of 1984 was in Scottsdale, AZ. Beautiful place. Also spent parts of some summers in Apache Junction, AZ.

First almost eleven years of my life in the Milwaukee, WI area.

So have put down roots but am a little restless again.

Could wind up staying in the Villages though. Time will tell. I will wonder what the NOTHING count will be in a few years!!!!

And there was that 10 days in Provo, UT going to BYU Law School still in braces and with an awful brown corduroy suit. Sister-in-law 1 the daughter of a US Foreign Service officer. She grew up in Brazil and was one of my major competitors in various University of Nevada, Reno classes. She had helped me get a decent suit for the U of Denver Graduate School of Librarianship and Information Management. And I got the braces off also before I left. And not for NOTHING.

That suit also helped with job interviews I had at the American Library Association convention in Dallas-Ft. Worth in the Summer of 1984.

Sister-in-law 1 only lasted a few years unfortunately but is somewhere in Florida maybe even in the Villages. She could be.

Jenny had helped me buy the best looking suit I ever had for the law library conventions. It was stunning. Jenny was my student in the law clinic Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners and then my lover/roommate while she finished up law school as a Third Year at the U of MN Law School. I had graduated in 1989. She will be having her 30th Class Re-Union the Summer of 2020. I had talked with her a great deal about just about everything. She is high up in a court system in the Midwest helping people.

I almost NOTHING but stroked out. I'm under the weather today but decided to sit outside for a stretch and positioned my chair where the carport roof ends. I guess a gust of wind got a hold of the Birdies that the Grandkids hit up on the roof last week and they nailed me all at the same time. I screamed like a little girl. Like the day that a 10 lb frog jumped on me when I was minding my own Beeswax! NOTHING but one for the books. ( Maybe The Frog Wasn't 10 Lbs.)

Miss snow once in a while especially the sight of it on near by mountains and not for NOTHING. Reno, Provo, and Denver all had mountains nearby.

Minneapolis would have mountains of snow so to speak.

Snow may be beautiful and it was exciting to get a day off from work but if I want NOTHING but a reminder of that thrill I'll consult a picture on the Internet. Tal, you should do the same thing.

My car is still perfect because of no road salt. I Loves it to pieces.

NOTHING but hard to understand Nucky?

Snow on the Internet is better than being in Minneapolis where it might be 25 F right about now and can get down to -20 F or even lower with wind chills in the -50s .

I was usually very bundled up in Minneapolis and often too hot in Middlebrook Hall as this huge dorm was often more of a giant sauna.

I have not seen snow since Chicagoland in the Fall of 1994. Real snow anyway. Have seen some from planes though.

Taltarzac725 11-21-2019 10:01 AM

Had another Barefoot and Fireboy sighting but my dog was making so much noise that it was hard to get a word in edgewise.

He carries grudges against other pooches that he views as having done him wrong at some point in the past. Couple of canines just drive him bonkers.

He ran into one when Barefoot and Fireboy were around. NOTHING but irritating as the owners of these dogs seem OK about everything.

Other snowbirds are coming back too many of these are people I like quite a lot just like Barefoot and Fireboy.

The Rock Salt that they use to coat the roads to melt snow or prevent BlackIce get your car Jacked Up inside and out.

I no longer need to constantly live at the Car Wash. In Jersey, it was once or twice a week during the winter. Down here its once a month. The Salt just made a mess outta everything and I don't miss any of the winter-related stuff for NOTHING. :clap2:

That sounds very reasonable. I had a lot of spin outs on my trips from Reno, Nevada to Denver, CO in 1983-1984 and back. Spent about 2 hours stuck backwards in a snow bank way outside of Cheyenne, WY on New Years' Eve in 1983. A good Samaritan alerted a tow truck which got to me and pulled me out. NOTHING but spent the evening watching Porky's 2 at the hotel before 1984 arrived. Porky's II: The Next Day - Wikipedia

Bought NOTHING but an H2 Hummer a long time ago which led me to be everybody's savior driving wise. It was fun for a while. It did get old. I like doing favors with NOTHING in mind for payback but still, the calls were coming at all times of the night for I need a ride. That vehicle went anywhere no matter what. I gave the truck to my son. Just before it needed tires. God forgive me. It cost him an arm a leg and a hoof! :faint: :boxing2:

Watched almost three episodes of N.C.I.S.. While doing platelets. Still only around Season Seven of N.C.I.S.. NCIS (season 7 - Wikipedia)
