My heart goes out to those affected by the wildfires in the Los Angeles area. I have little concrete evidence but it seems they have helped with my efforts since 1991 to get practical materials for survivors/victims of crimes into libraries of all kinds. Natural disasters are a different story as you are usually dealing with insurance company representatives, FEMA, and various other entities with some volunteer organizations thrown into the mix.

Hollywood did lend a helping hand with stuff. And not for nothing. I did write a lot of people via e-mail, snail mail before that as well as maybe on Findlaw, Facebook, and other places.

The Mitchell family had given me and another boy small Memorial Scholarships in her name. Look up Paula Zahn's segment on the murder and its very complicated history. Her birthday is also 2-24.
The show is On the Case with Paula Zahn. I had been going into local area libraries in late February 1976 and after looking for stuff to help me deal with murder as well as aide my fellow Earl Wooster High School students. They did not identify the real murderer until around 2014 and had put the wrong one in a mental health facility and/or prison.
