Abby, it's a beautiful 78* & mostly cloudy with a High of 84*. The sun is pop'in in & out. Wind is from the south.. There's NOTHING better then live'in in TV....:girlneener:

It is sometimes too hot in February but then I look at the temperatures where I used to live- IL, WI, UT, and MN, among other places-- and I see I have NOTHING to complain about.

The temps in Santa Rosa, CA; Redwood City, CA; Scottsdale, AZ; and Reno, NV sometimes look more attractive than those in the Villages though.

JMHO, but NOTHING better than living life with that thought process. It can really open up one's mind, one's world, and improve one's relationships.

Unfortunately, I often have to be reminded of it so thanks, 2B, for that reminder today. :thumbup:

I understand what you're saying. But then when you take into consideration lifestyle along with the weather, I would still say NOTHING probably beats TV.

Wow, it's cold there today. I guess I really shouldn't complain - it's supposed to go up into the 60's here today. NOTHING but swing weather after that though, 20's to 60's and back again. No wonder all I did was dispense antibiotics all weekend. Everyone's getting sick all over again.....ugh!

Are you still going to work when you get to TV? If we end up getting there earlier than expected Mrs. Howell will probably continue to work. She doesn't know how to sit still.

As for me I think I'll be happy doing NOTHING.. Or maybe a Walmart door greeter.. Maybe W will put me to work rebuilding motors.. lol

I agree. 2BNTV has always been NOTHING but a stand up guy and willing to help others on this forum. I remember his journey to TV and enjoyed reading about it on this forum. Stories like that give hope to those of us still on our journey to get there.

No, I'm done after this. When we first thought we were leaving here 4 years ago, I considered it and even looked into the licensing process. But as time has gone on, this will be it for me.

Your wife is a bit younger though, and if I remember correctly what she does, she would probably have quite a few options down there. Not so sure about my options in that respect and the opportunities aren't as abundant as hers would be.

I'm like you - if I decide to work, give me something menial at this point in my life. I'm not good at doing NOTHING either so I'm sure I'll be doing something.

My husband, on the other hand, who is in the same profession as I am has been done with it for 5+ years now. It's an early burnout job for those who work it full-time. But he does not lack the desire to be productive either. Give him a yard to landscape, or a kitchen to tear out, or a car to work on, etc, and you would think he was NOTHING but 30 again. However, the next day always reminds him he's definitely not - lol.

Yeah, the wife has been an RN her entire adult life. She worked in one of Southern California's busiest trauma centers for almost 20 years. When we moved up here she did 5 years in the ER, 5 years in ICU now 5 years in IV Therapy. She really likes IV therapy since she doesn't have to lift patients anymore. Doesn't have to deal with families and doesn't have to clean poop.. Plus she walks about 6 miles per shift since she covers the entire house. NOTHING better than getting paid to do your daily exercise..

I'm sure I'll spend the first year riding around on a new golf cart getting to know the neighborhood.. lol

Not for NOTHING, but somebody's got to do the heavy lifting.....lol

Even with a great sense of direction it will be close to a year before you can instictively drive everywhere. Fun learning your way around most places. People driving around you not so much. They expect you to zip around like you have Wiottes engine in your golf cart. I don't give them Nothing, I wouldn't give them the sweat off a grape
