I can't comment about our windows because we are hardly ever home. Nothing but The Villages, AHHHH!

I'm going to check them out later. My wife's nickname with her girlfriends is Scrubbing Bubbles. It never ends, clean, clean, clean.

The guy who does our house on the outside doesn't blow the dirt off with power, he applies some stuff then rinses it off. Environmentally friendly? Egner's is the company.

Back to the pool 3rd time today. Nucky LaLanne!

Nucky, you have the life! Your wife and I sound like 2 peas in a pod. When my husband and I worked a lot, I had a cleaner. She used to complain to my husband that there was NOTHING to clean. You just don't say things like that to Mr Frugal.

We use Egner's down there as well. Good job and reasonable price. Now if I could only get them to come up here........:rant-rave:

Your post brought back a memory. My mother and I used to exercise together with Jack LaLanne - those were the days. My mom was an amazing woman.

Abby10 06-09-2018 07:19 PM

Oh my goodness, now my husband is talking about dogs. Are we NOTHING but living in parallel universes, Nucky? :loco:

Wait for this. Mrs. Nucky is having a little technical difficulty but is joining TOTV'S. Just to see what's going on in the world of Nothing. Sit up straight. Get ready. Here Come's The Judge! Sooner or later that is.

The windows are gleaming by the way! Yes Dear, they are perfect Dear. Oh Boy!

Does that mean we have to behave ourselves now? Not sure that is NOTHING I can do.

I'm sure she'll be a great addition. Welcome Mrs. Nucky.

A smidgen? Is that like a dash? You better behave yourself or you might be getting a lot of nothing.

First fw102807, now Mrs Nucky.......this must be my lucky day! God knows I could use some help around here keeping all these NOTHINGS in line and it looks like my prayers are being answered. Although, fw, not sure about your tag line - I tried being good once but I was bored- on second thought, I'm good with that. You seem like my kind of person! :clap2:

Hey, everybody, wake up, it's Sunday!

It very much depends on your definition of good. You can be good at very many things or you can be good at nothing.

Looks like for this thread, being good at NOTHING would be the correct definition.

That is truly the Power Of Positive Thinking. Nothing can stop me now. I just hope there are no pictures of me from 45 years ago with big hair and in a bong-a-thon. (Hookah) :ohdear:

The pool has the power to take some pain away. I am addicted to the pool because I get a break for a bit. Should have listened to the doctor years ago.

I always rooted for Phelps. Nobody is perfect. He turned his life around. I admire that a whole lot, I'll bet it wasn't easy. Swim on!

:)

We work so hard to finally retire and come to a place like The Villages and all we do is keep the doctors in fancy new cars. That is nothing but unfair.

I Nothing but agree in full. I feel fortunate to have the Doctor that I ended up with. It's a long story but talk about dedicated, wow. So I would rather keep him in his S-Class MB instead of putting an addition on the Mortician's Home for today anyway.

Today my get up and go got up and went. Beat to my bones. Can't be Jack Of The LaLanne every day. Nothing, Nothing, Nothing!

Nucky, you too are very wise in your own unique way. So I guess that means we have 3 wise men on the NOTHING thread.

So happy for all of you living the dream down there. Here's to many more years of enjoyment and good health ahead......:beer3:. And hey, save some of that fun for the rest of us who are still trying to get there.

Beer and prayer in the same post? That seems like NOTHING but wrong.

I remember being in The Villages starting gate waiting for the gun to go off. The first time we sold our house it was in about 3 days. I had to delay and kill the deal. When we put the house back on the market, CRICKETS! Zero, Zip, Nada. The day after I asked the realtor for an unconditional release from the contract, Bingo we have a winner, sold.

The struggle to get here is worth it. Nothing is perfect but this operation is very close, so far.

Our biggest disappointment was after Irma, no electric for so long was rough on people we care about who had no place to go. It was a rough one though so I think the power companies get a pass as long as lessons have been learned and thing go smoother next time. We have responsibilities also to do the smart thing to survive a catastrophic storm. I don't mind telling you I was scared. I not a rookie anymore. Now I'm ready.

Kenswing 06-10-2018 06:26 PM

I need to have a talk with Mrs. K about the welfare problem we have here.

We had two 16oz hummingbird feeders which those little mooches would clean out every day, so we put out a third. They started cleaning out all three every day.

So I went to my favorite store (Amazon) and bought two 32oz feeders. That was on Friday. They must have told their friends about us because now they're cleaning out 64oz every day.

This is NOTHING but crazy. You'd think this was Seattle or something. lol

Yep. The word is out.. Except we've also unwittingly set up a buffet for the hawks and eagles.

We have some seed feeders out back. The squirrels like to get into them. The hawks sit on the peak of my shop roof and just wait for the right moment.. bye bye squirrel.

The eagles are really good at picking off the rabbits..

We got NOTHING but the whole Circle of Life thing going on here. lol

My husband was saying similar things about our yard the other day. We don't have feeders out or anything, but he swears it's because everyone around us treats their lawns with chemicals except us, so the wildlife have a field day in our yard. The other day we spotted what appeared to be a baby woodpecker. I have a friend who is a birder. When I describe some of the birds we see in our yard, she is amazed because they are not commonly found in these parts, so she says.

Well, it will be NOTHING but fun when we get to The Villages and have to deal with a whole different kind of wildlife. And I don't mean the people at the squares at night - lol.

You will not miss any wildlife I promise, the inventory may change but this is Jurrasic Park. Nothing but surprised this year that we have mosquitoes. The first two years not even one.

Mrs. La Lanne pushed the old man to the pool tonight, it was great. God Bless that Woman. :eclipsee_gold_cup:

I’ve been blessed with perfect health and an unbridled desire to do NOTHING whenever it suited me. How I survived past the first 22 years of life was either pure luck or some twisted bit of fate with an uncertain destiny. Motorcycles, fast cars, drugs, alcohol, borderline acting out, crazy women and an absolute hatred for anyone with authority should have landed me in jail or 6’ under. I hate vegetables, doctors with attitudes, pretentious anybody’s and the direction half our countrymen/women want to take us. I realize health is everything along with the woman I love. I would not change anything about my life because if I could I wouldn’t be living here now. It’s been NOTHING a long bumpy ride. I pinch myself every day just to make sure I’m not dreaming this new NOTHING life.
