They could use counting lessons at the local Pharmacies here, I know for a fact that they can't count to 90 but it's strange that its only on certain medications. Hmmmm!!!:blahblahblah: Several times. :clap2: :ohdear:

Thanks, now you just gave me a little bit of NOTHING to laugh about even when I'm at work......:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

Wow - it just never occurred to me to count my pills. You are serious that the pharmacy has shorted you with nothing less than a complete and accurate count several times? Do you count them before you leave the pharmacy?

I'm nothing but curious to know what Abby's take is on this as well.

I've never bothered to count them either. I always just assume they are NOTHING but correct.

In Nucky's case, since it has occurred on more than one occasion, I would talk to the pharmacy manager about it. There could be a problem with their automated counting mechanism, or something fishy going on, or NOTHING but unintentional human error. In any case, the pharmacy manager should be told so that he/she can look into the matter. In the meantime, they may make good by giving him a few extras pills to make up for it.

But here's what I have to say about it overall - in general, if you were to count your pills each time, you would more than likely find the right amount, but on occasion you may find it short by one or two, or increased by one or two. Why? Because both humans and machines make mistakes. I have worked several different systems and all have their flaws. My solution has been to always double count everything. Unfortunately, in a very busy pharmacy that would probably be NOTHING but impossible to do.

NOTHING other than one of them was in the News we can't speak of because with me it was only one pill they coughed it up so to speaketh immediately and what I believe was a mistake at the same place a second time. Same thing Bang Zoom, I pointed it out and they replaced it. No hard feeling's.

The worst one was when I was down here by myself almost 5 years ago checking out places to live and I asked if the man at the Pharmacy at the corner of I believe Avenida Central and 441 if he was Profiling me when I was trying to fill an NJ prescription that by a previous arraignment had been made to fill it at this store and he said yes that I was being profiled. I hadn't chilled out yet and offered to pull him through the little red drawer at the drive up and talk about it. I had forgotten about that. Boy O Boy was I Heated. Turns out it was totally up to him about who to fill and who not to fill. I would rather die than ever go back to that store. NEVER.

The Pain Management Doctor in N.J. trained al his patients to count the pills when I got home and protect them in my own home from everyone cause you never know. We ran a Business out of the house and people occasionally asked to use our bathroom. My world is small and I would have never thought any of this Monkey Business was going on.

When the next appointment I had with the Doctor came up I swear that you had to bring your medicine with you and they would pour it out on to a Bounty Paper Towel and supervise you counting them. I guess the had seen thing that I never even thought of.

No more of any of that because I decided to try things that don't require pain Stuff and only ask when I'm Jacked Up very badly like now. I only asked for a few pills to get me through for a little while.

Taking Pain Medication is a touchy subject in our country now. I prefer to concentrate on me and let others concentrate on themselves. The thing that's dangerous is it can lead a person to go out and start drinking again. I'm coming up on 25 years of Sobriety and when I'm aware of something that can lead me astray I don't think about what I think or want to do I what has to be done instead. PERIOD. The world is a better place without yours truly being Otis of The Villages. Life is so much better the way I live now. I'm Very Grateful. :MOJE_whot:

So I'm guessing I have NOTHING to worry about with my blood pressure meds.

I think you would be NOTHING but safe unless you go on the main Forum and then you may have to take a few extra pills! :1rotfl:

The only pills I count are the happy pills our doc gives us when we're flying overseas. But she's NOTHING but stingy. She gives us 8 at a time. lol

I'm going to be short and as sweet as possible because reading your post makes me want me to knock a few heads together on your behalf. :boxing2: First of all, that so-called professional had no right to profile you. What he had an obligation to do was his due diligence in checking to make sure the prescription was legit among other things. If in the process he found a reason not to fill it, then so be it. But to treat you like that was flat out wrong. Believe me, I know how hard it is to make decisions about dispensing those kind of drugs, but if I were to do my job on first impressions alone without making the proper effort, I would have been wrong on more occasions than I would want to admit to, and that goes both ways.

As far as counting your pills, if it's pain medication like that, I encourage people to count them right at the pharmacy before they leave if that makes them more comfortable because after they leave the store with the medicine it can get sticky in a hurry. But this is one good example why I have no interest in pursuing my career beyond my current job which is a cake walk compared to any job I've had in the past 40 years, including hospital jobs. This job is a gift I don't ever expect to be repeated. I'm so grateful to be able to go out this way rather than beat up and beat down like so many in my line of work or having to work along side someone like you had to deal with, Nucky.

I was so riled up I forgot my NOTHING!!!
