Oh No!! Caddy Shack!

My first thought also.
Fecal shedding OH grossed me out. However I have been to the pools in the past and if I knew about this I think I would be more worried about E-COLI. (Which does live in fecal matter) NEVER got sick from anything after leaving the pools.

Should is not a very scientific word nor does it give one the sense of obsolete security. Keep the pools closed for the sake of all of the residence. You don't need to get into a public bath tub right now and exchange body fluids and germs.

If you believe this, you shouldn't even use your own pool.

Swimming pools have been said to always be safe due to the chlorine. You should know by now that 90% of news is false so why do you continue to believe everything? How about you just bubble wrap yourself and live in a cave? Thats the only way to avoud germs

Bubble wrapping not air tight, only protects against sudden stops, drops, or pressure :icon_wink:

If you catch the virus from yourself, you already have it. I was wondering if safe to invite the neighbors.

I don't think our pools are saltwater, at least I never heard of that?

merrymini 04-27-2020 10:23 AM

The pools are not salt water. They may use a different form of chlorine. How many people pee in the pool? Yuk!

As a nurse, I have not once ever heard from anyone that COVID 19 is spread anyway other then DROPLET. Fecal shedding is not droplet. The pools are either chlorine or bromine.

Not sure if that’s as good as chlorine

Salt water pools are chlorinated via the salt, since half the construction of a salt is chlorine.

Salt is Sodium Chloride. In water, it breaks apart into sodium and chlorine ions. Thus, a salt water pool is also disinfected with chlorine. The difference is that the chlorine is not poured into the pool as a liquid. It’s nowhere near as salty as sea water, though.

Chalupas float. Then the skimmers get 'em. So, no worries...
