Your dates are the exact dates of our original appointments. We were contacted middle of last week (by email) to reschedule. If you can figure out how to contact them I would certainly do that.

This is the contact page I used and received a code to complete my registration process shortly after sending them a message....

If your confirmation was completed after this time on the confirmation time stamp, additional scheduling opportunities will be made available as additional vaccine supply becomes available.

We are currently scheduling thru 5:09pm.

Our friend was on the wait list starting Jan. 11th and received her scheduling code. I was on the wait list Jan. 13th at 1:30pm, but have not received a scheduling code.

Do you know how far down GMR is on their wait list? It would be nice if GMR would post where they are on the list.

We were on the wait list at GMR and no good idea when they would get to us.

Signed up at myvaccine a few weeks ago for Ocala, Sumter and Lake County and we got our first dose yesterday.

Curious when GMR will get to us but in the meantime our immunity is building daily.

There are two distinct GMR groups.
Those who have received their appointments and shots think it works great.

Then there are those of us who have been "on the list" and as directed by GMR "...rest assured you will be contacted in the order which was received..." We have been resting assured since 1/11/2021.....not knowing if we might be next or number 55,321 or not at all.

The wait list status sorely lacks communications which is really inexcusable.

Hence we wait (still rest assured? Not so much!)

Have my 88yo mom on the GMR waitlist since 1/12/21. When the site closed I emailed GMR to verify on the waitlist. Received email that she was on the waitlist, but at the time had no idea when the waitlist appointments would begin.

Since she is on the fence on the vaccine, and has basically not changed her everyday life, sees her grandchildren, and great grandchildren, shops, goes to restaurants that are open, she is good with waiting. As she said getting the vaccine isn’t going to change her life,

She does know a few who have not left their home since last March, think they need the most help.

I am eligible, as a healthcare worker, but declined the vaccine.

Call Lake County starting on Tues morning at 352-464-9065 for shots at the Sears Bldg at Lake Sq Mall in Leesburg on 441. They take calls starting on Tuesdays and book appointments for Wed, Thurs, Fri, Mon, Tues and then start calls again on Tues for the next week. Great organization and appointments are booked in 15 mins. increments. Long Disney-like lines but they move quickly but if you need a walker, borrow one. Make sure your form is filled out and signed b/4 going. You will get the form when you register online after your phone call.

We are in exactly the same situation as you. Registered on three sites and have heard nothing. Maybe by the time they get around to us herd immunity will have kicked in :)

Someone posted a notice from GMR on this forum but I can not remember which thread it was on. In a nutshell, GMR claims they have gone through and contacted their entire list of people who are on their waiting list. If I were you, I would contact GMR using this contact page......

Have you contacted GMR with the page I just linked in my previous post? They helped me get my code back in January when I contacted them and told them people who registered AFTER me were getting their codes and I had not heard anything. Within one hour of me sending them a message via that contact page, I had an appointment for that same day. Good luck!

I believe the notice was that GMR had contacted all those who had been given appointments from the original list. The ones who had not been given appointments previously were still on the list and would be contacted in the order they were put on the list AND as additional doses keep coming in.

Correct! Also, according to the Sumter County Health Dept, the GMR Waiting List has over 60,000 names. The Waiting List still exists! I am sure GMR has a tough task to weed out those people that decided to go elsewhere and not have their names removed from the Waiting List.

There are 77,000 Seniors in Sumter Co. 23,500 of those Seniors have received at least one dose of the vaccine. If there is still 60,000 names on that list there will need to be some culling.

Public memos from Sumter health department implies they have not gone through the first 7000 names on the GMR list. That would imply around 2/3rds of the vaccinated seniors in Sumter Co got their vaccines elsewhere.

If one is on the waiting list and gets vaccinated elsewhere they would just not use their activation code to get an appt. Those appts would then go to others on the waiting list.

Statewide, 35% of Seniors have been vaccinated. At the present rate, that number should hit 70% by then end of March. I bet at that point they will open up vaccines to their next tier, which may be everyone. I would not be surprised if by then GMR is only half way through their list.

Those of us on wait list(s) hope they do not open the allowable phase until such time as the major sites HAVE CLEARED THEIR LISTS OF OVER 65!!!!!!

On a regular basis those of us who had registered with GMR have gotten their vaccines elsewhere so their list is becoming more and more outdated.

As folks do not respond to contacts from GMR to make an appointment there most certainly is an auto purge of them.

Very true but that has to severly slow down people who still want appointments getting them.

missyomama 02-12-2021 03:30 PM

If you had a scheduled appointment and have not been contacted go to the original page, Safe Restart, then click on the white box, click here for help. At the bottom of page three there is a click here for additional info. This will enable you to send an email to them. I wrote them that I had an appointment for 1/24 and it had not been rescheduled. They responded quickly and gave me a code to get back into the website and select a new appointment.

You may hope not, but I can’t see the rest of Florida waiting for Sumter Co to catch up.

So, it is allowed to sign up in multiple counties? Does registration in one county kick you off the registration in another county?

FYI

Just got emails for wife and I (separate) from GMR.....dates and bar codes for tomorrow afternoon in hand.

The dates offered were 2/13, 2/16, 2/17 and 2/18.

We originally registered 1/11/2021 at 7:30 PM.

Great news for you and for billethkid about getting your appointments!!

For others.........please post (1) when you signed up for the Wait List and (2) when you were notified to schedule your appointment.

Now, we can track the progress of GMR working through their Wait List!!

I am Jan. 13th at 1:30, so I'll be patient. That's ok.

We went to myvaccine site run by the state and signed up for Ocala, Sumter and Lake counties. Figured we would take the first one offered.

Also we had registered with GMR a month ago and no idea if that is separate list for Sumter or not.

Was picked up last week by Lake and had our vaccine there. When we get contacted by the other two we will just tell them no thank you.

My wife and I registered at 8:01 January 11th. We received our codes yesterday and we are getting our 1st shot today. The 2nd shot is scheduled for 3/13.

Thank you for the update! Looks like GMR is working through their Jan. 11th list. From what you posted, once you get your code, you can get your 1st dose quickly. Nice to know this!

All of us who are on the Wait List like to see this feedback!

This is VERY helpful for those of us in queue waiting patiently to be contacted by GMR. The short turns between the GMR contact and available slots seem to indicate (possibly) that a significant # of those being contacted are not booking a slot, maybe because they already went elsewhere. Anyway--keep it up, it helps, a lot!

I did as you suggested and just waited it out. Based on all the posts since receiving our code, and based on the date we signed up (1/11/21) it seems GMR is working through their list as they have stated they would do.

And then seeing how quickly they responded to the rain out and relocation and the communications in that period, we were impressed with their response.

charmed59 02-15-2021 10:22 PM

My friends were contacted today. Registered, but did not get an appointment originally, just put on the waiting list. They didn’t use the appointment code as they already got their first shots elsewhere.

raynan 02-16-2021 08:03 AM

There is a spot on the GMR site where you can cancel. I cancelled when I got my code yesterday and later got a thank you from them.

Blackie and raynan.......thank you for taking a moment to cancel with GMR since you no longer needed a vaccination appointment. I also had a neighbor go online so they could be removed from the list also.

Hopefully, others will follow through to have their names removed!

I believe GMR is still working on their Jan. 12th Wait List.

bobdeb 02-16-2021 03:05 PM

I did contact GMR inquiring about status and I received what seemed to be a boilerplate response.

I would have preferred something tantamount to, "You are hopelessly buried somewhere in our vast queue so we recommend that you give up on GMR and go elsewhere. And if you do, be kind and rewind."

Unfortunately, now I can't. My bad I guess. But beware as I'm now one of the unvaccinated.

I sense your frustration and you penned it well! We seem to be clueless in the queue.

billethkid 02-16-2021 07:07 PM

Based on my recent posts as well as many others, it is becoming obvious GMR is moving down the wait list.

I went through the same frustrations to satisfy our need to know to feel like we are in fact part of an active process....in the order in which received.

As many consoled me.....be patient....I know easier said than done.

On the list 1/11/2021.
Code and reservation info received 2/12/21.
First shot received 2/13/21.
Second shot reservation 3/13/2021.

They do in fact communicate better after the appointment notification.
