Just curious, denial of what?

As the bubble expands it is bound to burst at some point. What do you think will change when that happens?

I always liked Bailey over Jennifer (Loni Anderson). Mary Ann over Ginger. What world would that be in.

Just like all other areas will, as developers develop every square inch of unused land building more and more "new rental home neighborhoods" to convince clueless Millennials/Gen Z-ers that owning a home is too much trouble. Wildwood is changing so quickly that the roads alone show the compression the "bubble" must withstand.

The "over 55" in T V is eventually going to fade away. Its already happening. T V bubble is bursting now as ABnB businesses take over and T V does not regulate the now quick gaining "resort" vacation golf destination called "The Villages".

The LOVE of money is after all a root...

I agree with this observation about TV. And I particularly like that the below quote is accurate, it is not; “Money is the root of all evil” it is, “The LOVE of money that is the root of all evil”. Money itself is just an arbitrary concept.

The world needs more Baileys……

If Bailey had known about Mr. Carlson’s plan for that Thanksgiving promo, she would have recognized its flaw and stopped it. But the Big Guy and Herb had kept it their big, dumb, secret surprise. (Sorry, I can’t help but laugh just thinking of that one, and Les Nessman’s reporting as it was happening.)

Yes, the Village’s is in a bubble of sorts, but a good one in my opinion despite having some flaws. Every time I’m in the bubble I don’t want to leave, and every time I leave the bubble I can’t wait to return. The more time I spend in the Villages, the more bored I get when I have to spend time in the real world.

Ah, but to me, tophcfa, the real world is TV. The rest just needs to catch up…;)

Please explain that to my wife, the kids and grandkids reside very far outside the bubble and she would rather sacrifice weeks and months away from the bubble so as to not miss a friggin birthday or other family party that lasts for a few painful hours. Misguided priorities indeed, but it’s like talking to a doorknob to try to convince her otherwise : (

Family is first. I understand that. Your wife is right.

I suppose what the “real world” needs is an age appropriate extension of The Villages concept. When I go up north I take a little something of TV with me. My friendliness towards neighbors, my very tidy front lawn, Mah Jongg at the cafe-game store beside the college guys playing Dungeons and Dragons, and so on. One drop at a time, make my northern city a bit like TV.
