Time to protect the squares
After the events in Europe, IMHO our town squares should have bollards or heavy planters to prevent vehicles from entering the center of the squares where people dance , etc
Also, protective bollards should be erected to protect the entrances and box offices of the theaters where people line up to purchase tickets We are very, very vulnerable-remember a terror attack happened in Orlando- 1 hour away |

I think people looking out for another is the best recourse. If you see a neighbor or friend who is acting strangely find out what is going on with them carefully as not to further upset them. And there are a lot of people carrying concealed weapons- retired police and military. These might be able to stop such an attacker. Be he/she doing this by vehicle, firearm or some kind of bomb. |
Running over a bunch of 75 year olds is probably not a high priority attack.
Unless the Seniors are having sex in the square while getting run over, it wouldn't even make the news. Next. |

The cold reality of such attacks is they are isolated, unpredictable events.
Add to that TV is most likely not a high priority target. Reality and practicality pretty much dictate where and what type prudent precautions be taken.....if any. |

They go for body count, not location--most people over the age of 75 would not survive and an injury count into the hundreds on a big Rocky & the Rollers nite would give them all the publicity they want

I think we just need to worry about somebody that shouldn't be driving hit the gas instead of the brake. We are WAY out of the interest of the kind of groups that have been attacked.

Yeah. And not using the podiums at night. And not making excuses for people who use the podiums at night. And if married people (married to each other) use the podiums at night, they should do it carefully and sneakily and soberly) Next. |

There are predictable targets-- parades with a lot of media coverage, buildings with historical significance, celebrities in the news, etc. There are just too many predictable targets for the cops to handle all of them. Villages targets would probably be more prone to stemming from some kind of domestic problem that spilled over into the public arena or some kids who are bent on violence for some reason on another. It would be foolish through to think that this could not happen in the Villages and I am sure that the police have been trained for such a horror happening here. They watch the news too. |
That's why they are successful--there is nothing predictable about them--Look @ those big red balls outside of Target--they're not there for decoration

Easy answer. Just stay home. Listen to music on Pandora. Have food delivered by Blue Apron and other things by Amazon. Watch golf instead of playing it. Pay the doctors to make house calls. Best to play it safe.
