Water buckets empty

We played Palmer on Thursday and every water bucket we came to on Riley was empty. You would think that since the Ambassadors have so little to do, they could at least notify the proper people to bring fresh new cold water when needed. This is much more important now that we are about to enter into summer and must stay hydrated.

So, what did the Ambassador say when you made this suggestion?

Babubhat 06-02-2023 03:34 PM

Call the starter shack

Bogie Shooter 06-02-2023 04:37 PM

Did you consider reporting to the proper people?

We take out own water in insulated 24 ounce containers. If I drink more there’s not enough bathrooms:girlneener:

Remember!
100% of all people who drink water die.
Cheers.

There may be many possible reasons for empty water containers on the golf course, and assuming "since the Ambassadors have so little to do" is just wrong. I pose the question, have you ever done their job?
I hope you're one of the many golfers fixing their divots and repairing their ball marks on the greens. And too, one of the many golfers who rakes the sand and places the rake properly back in the trap.
I encourage you to be a responsible adult and prepare for the day by taking your own supplies with you or purchase what you need at the starter huts at the beginning or when making the turn. Or you too can alert the ambassador or the starters if you find something amiss on the golf course.
And I encourage you also to apologize to all our hard working Ambassadors out there. They are fewer in the ranks as a result of increased minimum wage and cut backs to maintain budgets. Applications are available if you too are worthy to join their ranks and see what "little they have to do." YIKES!

You are right. When golfers know it's getting to be the hot season and they still leave home without the proper amount of fluids. We can all count on one hand the number of carts that do not have ice chests. Always good to shift blame.

I always bring my own water. I never drink out of coolers on the course. Just me but I prefer clean drinking water.

Call the starter shack, their phone number is right there on your score card.

Spot on.

Rwirish 06-04-2023 04:50 AM

Ambassadors do a great job and are appreciated. Perhaps bring your own water?

The maintenance people fill the on course water buckets in the morning not the ambassador. If you look behind the tower they have padlocks on them. They do not work all day. They mow, cut the pins and set tee markers and do some cleanup and go home. Bring your own drinks especially if you play in the afternoon.

Can’t Blame the snowbirds for this!
