10 Popular Wines of TV

I am not saying this is my preference but.....

1. White Zinfandel
2. Chardonnay
3. Pinot Grigio (Pinot Gris)
4. Sauvignon Blanc
5. Merlot
6. Rose
7. Cab. Sauvignon
8. Sparkling Wine
9. Pinot Noir
10. Shiraz (Sirah)
11. Zinfandel
12. Riesling
13. Viognier
14. Champagne

With Florida's climate, added more whites at the top rather than reds. Any thoughts? Wonder what the Country Club restaurants carry?

The most popular whine in my house is, "Sweetie, I wanna go to Nordstrom's." :)

The most popular whine in my house is, "when are we going back to TV"!?

I really like a good Rose wine in the summer but it is hard to find. I checked at GarVino's and they have none. The only place I have found to carry it is at Total Wine or ABC.

and don't forget Beaujolais Nouveau - released on the third Thursday in November

not to everyone's taste, but usually a nice, light, fruity wine best served moderately chilled

also, lower in alcohol than many wines these days, so good for parties over the Christmas/New Year season

My favorite white is Monchoff Reisling...it's light with a slightly lemony finish...hard to describe but I love it. For red, I'd probably go with a syrah or malbec...(actually, anything in a box with popcorn while watching tv...can't mentally justify tossing back a $20 or $30 bottle of wine while watching NCIS) :)

You have to acquire a taste for cheap wines. Once you do, you will never accept anything more.

........mmmmm..........WE only shop at "TARR-JAY" and "WALTON'S". ( that bees Target and Wal-Mart )...........Once a year we take a little foray into "The Rack" ( that is Nordstrom's Close-out Store ) but just for a lookee see....IF we have enough gas money to get to Orlando ........... NOW... back ON POINT our wines are #5 and #10 .... UNDER 3 bucks at "Walton's"....and # 12 when we save up for the good stuff.

Franzia Boxed Wine

My box of death sits proudly on my counter with its little tapper. :1rotfl: If you haven't tried the Franzia line of boxed wines, it isn't bad.

What - no Ripple? That and Boones Farm kept me going in the late 60's early 70s. :a040:

When we travel we always like to try the local wines so we bought a red and a white Florida wine from Sweetbay

we won't be making that mistake again
