What is your favorite comfort food?
 

Cream of Chicken soup made with ½ can of milk and topped with crushed saltines.

Mine is jambalaya, but I don't mind it when we have the wife's, which is pierogi.

Mac n cheese

white chocolate Macadamia cookies hot out of the oven..with a cold glass of Half and Half

Chicken and dumplings/noodles.

Bombay Sapphire martini.

The turkey dinner from Mallory with extra gravy and extra cranberry sauce.

Fried chicken when I can't have meatloaf.

Macaroni and cheese, hands down!

Where do I start

My wife's meat loaf, mashed potatoes, brown gravy and chopped spinach.

Medium rare filet with onion rings, creamed spinach, and steak fries.

Toss up between mashed potatoes with (can) corn mixed and mac n cheese is right up there as we'll.

Haven't had either in years.

Fried Belly clams a la Massachusetts or Alaskan king crab.

Chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and cream gravy is my very fav.

If I have a 2nd choice it would be a tie between a bar grilled hamburger (cooked medium well) with onion, lettuce, tomato, mustard, and ketchup or homemade chicken soup with hand rolled homemade noodles.

Warm chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven.... Campbell's bean and bacon soup...Mrs Weiss chix soup...peanut butter on toasted English muffin with sliced banana on top

A Whataburger..but I can't get that here.

Chicken & dumplings, but only if I make it. I've been told by many I make the best and it's my signature dish for friends & family.

When we use to eat beef pot roast over mashed potatoes was another favorite. I'd cook the meat in the crock pot for 8 hours and it would melt in our mouth. My secret gravy was awesome. We miss that red meat.

Home made (mine) steak and mushroom pie, gravy, mashed and french sliced pole beans .. but, have a friend who makes the most wonderful chicken pot pie - takes two days to make it so it is a rarity. I guess it's a toss up - steak or chicken pie!
