I doubt if any Democratic contender wants illegal immigrants who commit crimes to be kept in the country.

That's kind of humorous. You probably didn't realize what you said, or did you do it on purpose? "Illegal immigrants who commit crimes" ???? They are committing a crime just by entering our country illegally. In other countries, they could be shot. But, that is the way liberals/Dems think. Some crimes, ethics, morals are OK to violate. As long as it furthers their cause. Sorry if that sounds partisan, but I have seen more and more of it this way in the past two terms of this administration.

"Difficult" but not impossible. We have had three presidents that did mass deportations in the past. With the technology we have today, it is a viable and necessary procedure. A good immigration policy is important to national security.

No. It is amazing to think that everything that is being done is being done for votes. That flies both ways. There was a Senate bipartisan bill that died in the House. Now, Trump is pushing that every illegal should be deported. That is getting traction from the right. Now, many of the Republican candidates are marching in line with him. Aren't they doing that for votes?

Maybe they are. That's what I said, didn't I? But, the only reason they are jumping on the band wagon is because Trump IS getting traction. Why? Because AMERICANs want to get rid of the Illegal Aliens. Liberals see only the benefit to them.....votes. Labor unions also support legalizing the illegals because that means more members for them, which means more money they can steal. Different from politicians in that the unions want to take from the poor man and the liberals want to take from the rich. They act like they want to give the rich man's money to the poor, but that money never makes it down to them.

Enforcing the current immigration laws would help the economy. If anyone that hired an illegal was arrested and fined, there would be no jobs for Illegals. They would go home on their own, or do like some of them and become career criminals. And instead of deporting hardened criminals, we should lock those suckers up like we would any other scumbag criminal.

That was without the advanced technology we have now. So, it can be done.

Silly child. We have a migrant workers program. If the factories are going to have to shut down due to deportation of it's workers, then they are running illegally anyway. Silly person, the only jobs no one will take are the ones that don't pay enough. Instead of yelling about minimum wage increases, get rid of the illegals and then the businesses will have to raise their wages in order to get help. It's a win-win situation.

The Senate immigration bill was take it or leave it. It was reported in many places that the Senate bill would have been approved, if it was put on the House floor for a vote. Nobody was twisting anybody's arm. President Obama acted, because he knew nothing would ever get done with the current state of politics.

As long as the Republicans keep this hard line nothing is going to get done on immigration including building a beautiful 2,000 mile 20 foot high fence.

Everyone knows that you can't bail the water from a boat successfully until you stop the leak. The border leak has to be stopped first before you can do anything about the criminal invaders that saturate our country.

The Dems policy when given a task that sound tough, is to just legalize it and tax it. Then see if they can get some more votes out of it. Make it look like they accomplished something historic and pat themselves on the back.

Any illegals still in our country after the work dries up, can be deported unless they commit another crime in our country. If so, then they are tried and imprisoned like any other common criminal.

The Republican nominee will need to garner at least 40 percent of the Hispanic vote in order to win in 2016. That is a high mark to hope for considering that Romney got only 23 percent of the Hispanic vote. Trump's outrageous comments are not going to make him popular with Hispanics and that rings true with comments from other candidates as well.
