I get the "anti-politically correct" mindset but
Trump has NO class!....Sure would like another option!....You would think that with 13 candidates I would have another choice... It's a quandary! HELP!

Vote Cruz

I would be very interested in learning from you how you define class? I would also appreciate if you would provide specific examples of those individuals you deem having class and those you believe do not have class? I don't count as having class or not having class. OR do you mean that you cannot find one of 13 candidates with bona fides that meet your expectations? Personal Best Regards: |

After the last seven years with this administration, is PC as important as being a good leader? Are you looking for someone that hasn't appeared on a late night TV comedy show, or a daytime talk show? It ain't gonna happen.
To tell you the truth, Trump is actually looking more appealing to me every day. And he was my last choice of the GOP candidates about a month ago. Maybe it's time we had someone in there from the people's side that is action oriented, not politically oriented. I don't know of anyone else in the list that might be able to fill the position of damage repair. |
I think you may be missing what the American people are against.....political correctness is only a small piece of it.
It is all the crony, corrupt, special interest, minority group business as usual in Washington......FOR STARTERS! You may not like his presentation, tenor, bombasity, arrogance, etc.....but he represents what most of us dislike in the poisoned politicals of today. |
If anyone thinks that they are going to get rid of politics in D.C. they are naive. The best you can do is do the least damage. Americans are very mistaken if they think they can do away with politics in politics. And the best we can do is clean up the hazardous waste/corruption as it spills. If you can't keep corruption out of cities, you can't expect to do it on a large scale like the Federal gov. All you can do is limit the damage and prosecute the perpetrators as you catch them.

I agree
The only thing Trump is into is TRUMP. A poor excuse for President. Vote for Rubio.

I am skeptical of any candidate that makes populist remarks and especially one that says "trust me". Trump is parroting voters frustrations or concerns but while it establishes rapport it doesn't mean substance. I actually like Trump's bluntness, his self confidence, etc but he is energy out of control. He is a guy that says "its my way or the highway" but that's what , as Christ Christy termed it, our petulant child Obama has done for his entire sty and its wrecked America. Trump is a good businessman but he is a mercantilist not a free marketer and that can cause problems. His use of Ï""me" indicates he believes he can do it alone. The founders established the balance of powers purposefully so that 1) the minority were not ignored 2) it would be a slow and difficult process to get legislation through. One only has to look at Obamcare to recognize the wisdom in such construction Please as voters we need to remove the emotion and approach our selection rationally because the one thing I believe is true this election year is that the choice is going to be a turning point in our history not unlike the election of our first president. Trump doesn't need me to defend him. I am more likely to vote for Rubio too. |

You really do have an option of several candidates. But, what you have to consider is your motivation for that vote. Are you attempting to make a vote based on ethical or moral preference, or are you voting against the current liberal/socialist trend to the left? Do you want the country to move to the right or the left? Do you want to vote for someone that you feel can beat the opposing party or do you want to vote for what you feel is the best politically correct candidate? Lots of questions. Not that you asked, but since I feel that any of the GOP candidates is better than what the other side is offering, my choice is pretty comfortable. After surviving seven years under this embarrassing administration, I can honestly say that it doesn't matter to me how unconventional the candidate is, I do not want another eight years of this country being torn up by a bunch of needy, dependent and lazy losers that hate our country and have no patriotic pride, so I won't have to hold my nose and vote. I will vote with confidence that my choice will be the right choice. No pun intended. Trump did worry me at the beginning, but I can see that he fits into the political community pretty easily. His manner of speaking seems that of a dock worker, but I have a feeling that this is all showmanship and he is smarter than he sounds. We do need D.C. shaken up, but not the way Obama tore it up. He put up a wall between the right and left and totally ignored the right. We have never had a president so divisive in history, including Clinton. Clinton started out that same way, but learned fast that he was not going to get anything done. He succeeded, where Obama never learned in eight years. Obama really does seem a bit slow. I would be interested in seeing his transcripts, to see if this trait has followed him or if he is just not and never has been equipped to handle this job. But, I guess he is ashamed of his educational record and refuses to release it to the pubic. But, I digress. I am still not committed to one particular candidate, leaving the option open until the day of the primaries. I am favoring one particular candidate, but have not totally ruled out Trump either. I doubt I will vote for Trump, but he is pretty decisive where the other candidates seem to be changing their stance according to the direction of the popular wind where they are campaigning. I do realize that this is typical politics, but Trump seems to be able to get away with his solid stance on issues. "Class" is not an issue with me, but if you can buy "class" then Trump is able to own it. |
Showing class. If you have class, you don't make fun of a person's appearance especially a woman. You don't make fun of a person energy, Bush. You don't point out a person's position on the stage. You don't question a person's right to become president, and then say I am just giving him advice. You don't backtrack on your over the top comments. You don't stand on the stage during a debate, and make funny faces.
Trump is a horse's ass. That statement means I don't have class. Oh, well. Too bad! So sad! If you have class, you stick to issues, and make your positions known. If you say that you are going to get rid of something like Obamacare, you put your replacement out there. You knowing don't blow smoke to get elected, and then run away from your campaign promises. Trump, and Cruz are nothing but noise. On the previous post, we have never had a president as divisive as Obama. The assumption is that the Republican Congress doesn't have any responsibility for what happen. Mitch McConnell is the king of the filibuster. Boehner wouldn't put anything on the floor for a vote, in particular the bipartisan immigration bill, unless it passed the Hastert rule. Paul Ryan wouldn't accept the Speaker of the House position, if the Republican House members didn't change their attitude. There is plenty of blame to go around for the last 7+ years. |
Quote:
You do remember the two years of filibuster proof congress, don't you? You know, the first two years, where Obamacare was forced through illegally, without the proper majority vote? Oh, and how many bills did Harry keep on his desk, refusing to allow a vote? Yes, I realize that you feel that it is a waste of his time if they are not Democrat bills. But, that is for another thread. One where you will have time to ask someone for a witty answer, because you appear to be too lazy to research your information for yourself. |

In the first place, everything Trump does is first class. If you have ever been to one of his properties, you would realize that. He always hires top notch, competent people to run his operation. Is anybody impressed with the quality and competence of Obama's appointees? I'm thinking of Trump as more of a 'turn around specialist", and I don't particularly care if he is considered a true conservative or not, whatever being a true conservative means. I expect him to appoint top notch competent people, run the country like a business and "make America great again".

I also believe that if he is nominated and then elected he will find out soon enough what he can and cannot do once in office. However, being who and what he is when the things he is trying to do for the country get bogged down by the politics as usual cronyism crowd, he will rally the American people to force their represtatives to do their job.....REPRESENT THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE.......bringing America back to where they want America to be.......Trump will have an effect on how business is done or not in Washington.
He therefore has enemies of the establishment in both partiies. |

I know this is an awful lot of reading for you, so skip to the Senate portion. The Republicans didn't have 40 votes to continue with their filibuster. The votes to end the filibuster, and pass the law was 60 to 39. It has withstood two Supreme Court cases. Just because Republicans here always harp on the fact that it pasted illegally doesn't make it so. Read there entire article, and you will see how Obama did try to work with Republicans. Since you have tagged those Democrats as classless, please name me one representative or senator that actually has class. Washington is a classless society. How many votes did Harry keep on his desk? I am not sure, but there were at least 54+ votes to repeal Obamacare? That went up to 61. You have to admit it stupidity has no bounds. How did the vote to repeal Obamacare get passed in the Senate? There wasn't any Republican dancing around the filibuster rule was there? Hell no! The Republicans would stoop to something so low as that. How stupid do you to be to think Obama is not going to veto the bill? Republicans must think their followers are really stupid that a veto is necessary to convince them that the Republicans in the Senate and House aren't in favor of the bill. Sending a bill to repeal Obamacare 61 times isn't enough to get their point across to their followers. |

I despise politicians and politics but politics to a varying degree exists everywhere and it destroys many a good person. In the corporate world it is as fierce . Anyone coming into politics believing everyone is going to play fair and nice is being naive'. In the corporate world fierce political players are termed nut cutters, pardon the term. I lived that life like many here in TV and if you try and separate yourself as not being in the game they will roll right over you the stakes are higher when you are running for a political office and the higher the office the higher the stakes and the higher the stakes the fiercer the game . Its not only Trump and Cruz who won't stick to an issue and/or are all noise its every candidate out there. One of the skills needed to run for office is to be an artful dodger....and frankly sometime its necessary because there are a lot of "got you" people out there. Personal Best Regards: |

It is a given, that almost all candidates, whether they are questioned on TV, or in a debate, will do everything to avoid answering the question. A lot of the questions are pointed to either make them look bad, or go into detail something that they that said that made little sense, and were only made to get someone's vote. We are getting what we paid for dishonesty at its highest. Sanders said that he has never gone negative in his campaigns. Right now, he doesn't have a choice. Hillary knows that she may not be the Democratic nominee, if she doesn't go negative on him. Since she is a real bitch, she is right at home going negative. If Sanders win both Iowa, and New Hampshire, another Democrat will enter the race probably someone, who has run before. If either Sanders or Clinton get elected, things in DC will get worse. Trump is holding true to form by calling Cruz abrasive. He hit the nail on the head with that one. It was pointed out on Morning Joe this morning that Cruz, who is really hated in DC, couldn't get one Senator to bring something to the floor for discussion. How the hell is he going to get anything done , when both parties in DC don't like him. Right now, we have the worse of all worlds. Trump, Cruz, Sanders, or Clinton being our next president would mean stop watch news programs on TV, and stop buying the newspaper. Nothing good will come out of any of these four. |

Keeping with the theme of the thread,
To liberals, if it is not PC then it is hate speech. O'Malley during last night's debate, insisted that the other candidates not use the term "boots on the ground" because he said it is not politically correct. It offended someone he knew, so it is not a good term and must not be used. |
Quote:
Rubio is inexperienced. Christie is loud, and may still have problem with the George Washington bridge nonsense. Bush name is a problem, but I may vote for him, if he is the Republican nominee. He is the lesser of all evils. |
Quote:
'To liberals, if it is not PC then it is hate speech." Does that mean that Clinton, and Sanders are not liberals, because they used the term "boots on the ground"? If they candidates can't say anything, because it may offend someone, then they won't be able to talk at all. That sounds like a great idea. They will all have to be mute. The person that can dance, juggle, make people or things disappear, or do a balance act will be our next president. Their first act will be to balance the budget, and juggling the books is not acceptable. They will have to make Congress disappear first, or they will not be able to balance the budget. All of our problem are gone. Go PC! Go! |

Don't get me wrong, but what is the point of declaring that you are an Independent? They have no primary voting rights, and anyone can vote any party they wish in the general election. So, what's the point? Is it fear of someone associating another with a particular party stigma? I asked my brother (registered Independent) and all he could say is that he is neither Republican nor Democrat, but yet he has ALWAYS voted Republican. I am a Republican but I can vote Democrat (bite my tongue) in the general if I wish.

I saw what you did. However just because Clinton and Sanders can say it doesn't necessitate that they are capable of actually carrying it out. Personal Best Regards: |
If Trump becomes the next President, God help us all. Please, please we think the whole idea of Trump being the ONLY solution for America! Other nations are already balking at the idea of Trump as our leader. Ugh!
