Hey JohnN,

Thanks again for being the gracious host. PetesPatsies have a new coach who is a lot smarter than the fantasy season guy. So here's what's gonna be...

Atlanta, Indy, Baltimore, Philly.

What do Da Bears say?

Alex 12-29-2008 10:49 PM

First Round goes to John

Great idea, John.

Thanks Johnny,I'll take,

Atlanta over Arizona
San Diego over Indianapolis
Baltimore over Miami
Philadelphia over Minnesota

JohnN 12-30-2008 10:04 AM

Da Bears were clever, since Minnesota won anyway, they chose to lose and get a better draft position ! LOLOLOLOLOL

I noticed villages07 chose the opposite of my picks on all 4 games.
Well... that ain't right.

13 players so far, good luck to all.

aln 12-30-2008 06:46 PM

Way to go JohnN........:pepper2:

Atlanta at Arizona .................ARIZONA is the homer
Indianapolis at San Diego.........INDY
Baltimore at Miami..................MIAMI (just another sharp stick in the eye
for the Jets)
Philadephia at Minnesota.........PHILLY(get real)

JohnN 12-30-2008 08:15 PM

Boy, these games are tuff.. I"m making a couple/few changes
(which are allowed until 5 minutes prior to the game start)

Atlanta, Indy, Baltimore and Philly, FINAL ANSWER LOL

ijusluvit 12-30-2008 11:08 PM

JohnN

Your picks are the same as the Patsies!
The highest form of flattery for my new, smarter coach.

JohnN 12-31-2008 02:39 PM

hey, Patsies Da' Man then,

I thought of suggesting $10 a head, winner take all, but I'm not wanting to collect the cash.

Indy-Guy 01-03-2009 11:07 AM

Well I am from Indianapolis and a 20 year season ticket holder so I have to go with them. Glad to see Peyton got the MVP. I guess the 85% completions in the Month of December put him there.

I Like Atlanta for where they have come from and Arizona has not played well the last month.

Would like to see the Miami beat Baltimore but will have to pick Baltimore perhaps to much D for the Dophins.

Most counted Philly out but they have come on strong the last several weeks.

Put me in for. Atlanta, Indy, Baltimore, Philly

JohnN 01-03-2009 05:31 PM

Cardinals 2 out of 15!

But no Cardinal & San Diego pickers

Again I am reminded why I don't bet sports. About the time I think I know something I am reminded I don't. Picking sports winners is a humbling thing.

JohnN 01-04-2009 12:04 PM

Indy-Guy,
I pick sports all the time, just not very well (0-2). Check out my College thread where I snakebite the teams LOL. Oklahoma over Florida, by the way there.

AND>... late change, it's early.. I'm taking Minnesota instead of Philly.

good luck, all

MelZ 01-04-2009 12:24 PM

If it's not to late I would like to make a change and pick Minn over Phila. Home teams are 100% on day one.

JohnN 01-04-2009 01:53 PM

Mel Z, changes are ok as long as the game hasn't started,
yours is in.

ijusluvit 01-04-2009 05:12 PM

Wait! I'd like to make a quick change too!
I'll take Arizona and San Diego.

(geeez, I can't be 0-2. my new coach isn't THAT dumb!).

Hey John, thanks for blessing the Gators

Time for a comeback

Panthers over the Cardinals
Giants over the Eagles
Steelers over the Chargers
Titans over the Ravens

Alex 01-05-2009 11:50 AM

1 out of 4....

Looking at the picks we all made, it sure says something for this "sports savvy" group of sports junkies. I think I could have done better if I had my dog squat on the newspaper....whatever teams got the most wet would be the losers??? or would they be the winners??? As you can see that system isn't quite perfected yet either....

Can't wait to pick next weekend's games!!

JohnN 01-05-2009 12:47 PM

Alex - dog squat? LOLOL

Coin flip would = 2 points

TOTV average = 1.87 points ,

so we are collectively equal to something less than a coin flip,

don't quit your day jobs,

looks like the early runs are for the home teams that had a bye week,
yet the last three superbowls have not been won by a bye week team,
so, I'll think on it

ejp52 01-05-2009 03:21 PM

Carolina over Arizona.

San Diego over Pittsburgh.

Picks

Tough week as a couple of these can go either way. But got to go with:
Carolina over Arizona
Giants over Eagles
Steelers over Chargers
Baltimore over Tennessee

Really in doubt over the Baltimore Tennessee game. If Johnson has a big game and in any given week he can, Tennessee could pull this one out. But I like the Ravens defense and they will create some turnovers. But still a tough week of picks. Next week will be much easier.
