Bigots in The Villages
 

I truly wonder if the person with his bigoted views on the Political Forum is pullling our joint legs OR if he actally is such a throwback to Jim Crow days?

From what I have seen in the several years I have in The Villages, everyone gets along good in social or sport events. The clubs have different races attending, social groups are of different races, BUT there is ONE person who posts bigoted comments whenever possible.

What do the rest of you Political posters think of this? Do you feel there is the genuine hatred of this person as an underlying aspect of The Villages?

I don't think about it. I gave up long ago trying to get inside people's heads. My experience has been that when I do, I usually find them to be empty.

What is funny, if this is the internet I grew up with. The poster is probably a nice guy...but, being as this OP has such a burr in his panties it is just fun to hope the OP has a stroke from his high blood pressure and letting a stranger on the internet make him look like an idiot.

I think that by talking about him, you are encouraging him. There is no law against being a bigot, so if he is ill mannered, that is his problem.

As a result the majority of members, let's refer to them as the silent majority in this case, suffer the tar brushing.

The demographics is what makes TV such a wonderful place. The day the minority population begins to rise is the day TV turns to crap like everywhere else they congregate.

A bigot has no "reason" for their views...there are PLENTY of reasons to be a bigot against minorities. They really do destroy an area when their numbers become too large. Show me ANYPLACE it doesn't happen...just one. No, I'm no bigot, I'm pragmatic trying to save my country from a literal minority invasion.

What you call a bigot...is just someone who doesn't agree with YOU. They think you're the "bigot" because you fail/refuse to see their view.

That's the problem when everyone in society is lied to by government, politicians, corporations, religions, education, and just about everyone you meet.

People get the strangest ideas about reality when they're constantly lied to. No wonder so many need psychotropic drugs.

You know...every society throughout history has had the same opinion of them, has treated them the same as we did, up until mechanization made them obsolete in the 1800s.

They never did prosper, still don't, no matter where in the world.

It's them...not us.

Forced equality is a fools errand. It will lead to our downfall.

When there's good reason, it's not bigotry. You hate murderers, you're not a bigot. You hate pedophiles, you're not a bigot. You hate the way America is becoming 3rd world, you're not a bigot. You hate that the educational system is failing, we're #17 now, you're not a bigot. You hate that half the population is on welfare, you're not a bigot. You have reason to hate what the people who are destroying America are doing.

We hate what they do, not "who they are". If black people lived like us, spoke like us, acted like us, we'd accept them. We've accepted other races, Asians are accepted, Indians, even blacks and Hispanics who "fit in" are accepted. It's when EVERYTHING about you is different, that's when you're not accepted. Most blacks don't "fit in", they're "different", that's why they're not accepted. NO other reason.

You don't hang out with EVERYONE. You pick your friends through shared interests and ideologies. People who are too "different" aren't your friends. Same way with the races, if they're "too different" they don't get along. We're too different to get along. Lincoln said it too.

There are reasons a lot of us think what we do about the races. Stereotypes exist because they're generally true. How many "good" stereotypes are there about blacks? Good at athletics and music. Because that IS what they're good at. Like Asian kids ARE good a math.

The forced mixing isn't good for any of us.

Archie is a tv character not a person.

Norman Lear originally intended that Bunker be strongly disliked by audiences. Lear was shocked when Bunker quietly became a beloved figure to much of middle America. There is a REASON why most Americans are "bigots". They drive down the street, they see what "diversity" has wrought upon neighborhoods. They see what "diversity" has done to schools. They see what "diversity" has done to their workplace. They see what diversity had done to our culture, society, welfare roles.

Tell me why we're wrong to not want this to happen to us? Our neighborhood turned from wonderful to woeful? Our school turned from #1 to #17? Our workload increases because of the dead wood EEO laws create with affirmative action and quotas? Why we're wrong to be against the "ethnicization" of our culture, society? Against the number on the roles ever going up? Against the nonconformity?

I believe the NRA membership is around 4.3 million, that is roughly 2% of the population?

But, the NRA represents or helps all gun owners and 33% of Americans own a gun.

I enjoy hearing from the kinder posters. If my dad said so and so had a big heart, all other faults were forgiven, money or education never mattered. My kids picked up on that too.
