Trump saved 1,000 jobs in Carrier
BREAKING: Trump team and United Technologies reach agreement on keeping close to 1,000 factory jobs in Carrier plant in Indiana.
This is before he gets sworn in! I didn't see this confirmed but reported by CNBC |
How did he do that (other than just taking credit for it)...and what is the rest of the story?

U don't stay on top of the real news do ya
Turn off CNN He called the CEO on Thanks Giving day and made him an offer he couldn't refuse. :22yikes: A deal-maker not like Hilly she was sleeping, Obama couldn't do either |

The difference between a decision making, commitment making executive is following through and obtaining results based on a promise or a forecast....quite simply promises kept VS promises made. Unlike politicians there is commitment and accountability. Trump is not politics as usual. Will he have to play the game domestically and world wide? Certainly. Just look at how he is matching the needs of the jobs he is filling with capability VS the establishment crony method of filling jobs with those who support the agenda regardless whether they are capable or not. What Trump knows and practices is negotiating to achieve an objective. Unlike Obama who has no concept whatsoever of how to negotiate. Obama will concede anthing to get something for his agenda. Trump will negotiate to make the deal. Let's have this discussion again on the 101st day he is in office. We successfully voted against that a couple of weeks ago!! |

Why do so many of you consider merely stating facts to be ranting and raving? I believe my typing is quite calm and to the point. The ranting and raving is coming from the women who disagree and can't seem to find anything to refute my ideas. So, Ms MLDBR or whatever your name is...got something to say? Or are you just here to harass me again? |

Twenty-five million new jobs in ten years is just one of the 282 promises Trump made before the election. Some reporters spent weeks counting up the promises so they can hold Trump's feet to the fire. Bad loser? Au contraire. It is rather enjoyable watching Trump these days, the game show host running a game show presidency. Captain Chaos. The Trumps are turning in to the Kardashians. |

How many of Trump's 30,000 employees actually work in the USA? It is tough to make America great again when the bulk of your work force is overseas. So far in Obama's two terms, 14 million private sector jobs have been created, with 71 straight months of positive job growth. In 2008, the US faced the worst recession since the great depression, and we were losing 750,000 jobs per month with the Dow hovering around 6000 and the unemployment rate at 10%. Who would you rather take over from, Barack Obama or George W Bush? |

But, on a positive note, he has done very well at late night TV.. But, if he wasn't president, I doubt anyone would laugh at him. |

The bigger picture
This also sent a message to other companies thinking about moving. Also if he went out of his way to save 1,000 jobs it's only the beginning of a promising outlook for the economy |

It helps that he has the governor of IN on his team. The same governor who could offer a company all kinds of special incentives. Trump is traveling to IN tomorrow to take a victory lap. Hopefully, he'll be able to announce the reopening of the coal mines in WV as soon as he takes office Quote:
Some people have just the opposite opinion that companies will be demanding special incentives whether they intend to move or not. |

The bigger...the biggest picture is...rich and powerful men run huge corporations that make them tons of money and give them power. They use that money and power to "stack" governments to their advantage so they can acquire even more money and power. The politicians are placed in position so they can do the bidding of the rich and powerful, they're the ones who do the actual "stacking" of the government positions/regulators who do the rich and powerful's bidding. Trump only becomes president if "they" approve of it...it'll be a VERY short tenure. |

It only created a line of CEO's who will 'say' that they are moving overseas...in the hopes of getting some kind of special tax break(s). The fact that we still don't know what Carrier is getting out of it (you can bet that it wasn't just because Trump said something)...is what I'm waiting on. But hey, I'm not surprised that Chump would take credit or lie about/hyperbolize taking credit for something he didn't do...as he is notorious for that. Since he hasn't taken office and hasn't had that wall of responsibility fall on his head yet...he has the time to tweet and lie. |

If nothing else has been shown, Trump and his sheep have shown to only be capable of short-term tactical thinking...not strategic. |
I don't post on here at all. But when The president creates 10 million or 25 million new jobs you libs will be whining that the don't pay enough or that they are not union jobs or some other BS. It really must be miserable to live your life in a funk.
