Eligible voters 219.0 mil
Registered voters 146.3 mil
Total votes cast 136.2 mil
Total votes for HRC 65.8 mil
Total votes for Trump 63.0 mil
Total votes 3rd parties 7.5 mil
Thus HRC got 65.8/219.0 or 30.0% of eligible votes. HRC got 65.8/136.2 or 48.3% of votes cast. I am having a hard time supporting it is the will of the American people that HRC should have been elected. I will agree to she won more votes than Trump however still less than 50% of all the votes cast. HRC would need 47.5 mil more votes from the I don't give a s--t column to make the statement it is the will of the American people.

So......there is a rally. They have every right to assembly---it will not change anything but as long as it's a peaceful assembly in America you have every right to do so. Thank God we have Freedom!

So what time is the rally? Anybody who doesn't want to say good-bye to their Medicare should plan on attending.

Trump won, Clinton lost, and those of us who wanted to keep our Medicare will just have to suck it up. The majority rules, except for the popular vote in presidential elections.

Trump voters are delirious about their victory. Hopefully none of them has a preexisting condition.

I'm not nearly as worried about my Medicare as others. Again fear and greed the world' two biggest motivators. Look at the statistics about voters from above. 219 mil eligible voters. Only 136.2 mil voted. Today 41 mil are over 65 yrs old. The group getting ready for Medicare 60-64 yrs old is 17 mil. That would make 58/136.2 or 42.5 % of avg number of people that vote on or near Medicare. I say go ahead to my politicians and screw with Medicare and watch what happens to at election time.

It is amazing the protesting, but if that gives those who lost some solace, then good for them.

We can all thank the wisdom of those who saw the pitfalls, vulnerability and unfairness of the popular vote and came up with the electoral system.

Like it or not that is the way it works.

You all had your ride for 8 years so just suck it up.....and get ready for something to be done rather than just take up space in the WH.......in my humble opinion.

You are spot on about Medicare. Messing with Medicare will not get out of Congress. They want to continue to collect their paycheck.

Medicare is more scare tactics that the elite has you believing. Trump has more of a heart than any politican. That is why the vast majority of working America voted for him.

... and with regard to the popular vote, in the next presidential election there will be proper id required so a lot less fraud.

To be "fair" the EC would be ONE vote per state. Why does CA get more votes than 15 other states? It should get one vote. Do we still count blacks as 3/5ths? They get one, whites get one...each state should get one. Whomever wins the state gets 1 vote...you need 26 to win...OR in case of a tie...you count the popular vote and the winner takes it.

But it's ALL moot...the whole thing is fixed. Our "choice" is between 2 crooks. You can have what I have in my right hand or my left hand...nobody else. I don't own them.

Trump will borrow and spend and a lot of people will get rich. While the country becomes more and more fragmented as the minority majority grows.

The no name news has a short video of the rally. it doesn't make any difference but according to the video there were a dozen or two people there exercising their first amendment rights.

First of all even the people against TRUMP have heard that OBAMA added TEN TRILLION DOLLARS to the national debt. IF, YOU THINK MOST of us will realize that while we can say the words WE TRULY DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH MONEY THAT IS. I've read people try to explain it as freight trains full of $100 bills.

I've more than once asked what did OBAMA BUY WITH THAT MONEY? Roads-NOPE, Parks-NOPE, Better Schools-NOPE, Dams-NOPE, Railroads-NOPE, Hospitals-NOPE. I'VE TRIED TO LOOK IT UP AND ALL I FIND IN DOUBLESPEAK.

I have found a great shock. We have been told China is our largest creditor. THAT IS FALSE-we actually owe slightly more to Japan then to China. WE HAVE BEEN HAD BY OUR GOVERNMENT. Together Japan and China hold 20% of our national debt. SOCIAL SECURITY HOLDS 42% OF THE NATIONAL DEBT. Our government has borrowed our money OBAMA TO A GREATER EXTENT THAN ANY PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATION. WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT, LOOK AT THE DEAL WE HAD MADE. THE BORROWER WILL PAY US BACK WHENEVER AND THE BORROWER WILL PAY US BACK WHATEVER RATE OF INTEREST THEY WISH.

THAT MY FRIENDS IS WHY YOU CAN EXPECT CUTS IN YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK AND WHY YOU WILL FIND MEDICARE SERVICES BEING LESS THAN WHAT WAS PREVIOUS.

My wife and I just went on social security-medicare. Due to the FACT that we worked our butts off for 42 years and we saved for our inevitable getting older WE ARE PAYING TWICE THE MINIMUM FOR MEDICARE AND WE HAVE NO INFLATION PROTECTION.

Regular exercise is a good idea . I hope that they are not too sore when they awake tomorrow from the ass-kicking the Electoral College dealt to their Queen today .

Several of her " people " actually refused to vote for her .

I apologize for enjoying your discomfort at Trump being elected. It has been eight long years of listening to his arrogance and his inserting himself into late night TV and interrupting prime time TV constantly with his rants and speeches like he is speaking to a nation of children in a classroom. He was more interested in high approval ratings than leading the best country in the world. And he never did feel that America was great, always apologizing for it. Thank goodness he will be gone in about a month. As far as I am concerned, he can't pack his sh*t fast enough and vacate the scene.

Good job protestors. Three democratic electors tried to flip on Hillary and were replaced. Four more actually did flip on Hillary. Two republican electors flipped on Trump.
The net result is that Trump's victory is even larger.

The stock market always goes up. People who put money into the stock market for the 1932 great depression did in fact recover the money they put in IF THEY HAD A WELL DIVERSIFIED PORTFOLIO. They did recover around 1968
Assuming they were 25 in 1932 they were 61 in 1968.

FDR`s " New Deal " didn`t work very well for FDR . Even very Liberal professors started to admit as much in their classroom lectures starting about 1968 .

Sadly it was an all out War that provided much growth to the economy and gave rise to the prosperity of the 50`s and 60`s .
And it was the " we can have both guns and butter " programs of LBJ that ended the growth pattern and fed economic stagnation and high inflation .
I very much doubt that Medicare will get messed with in any manner which might impact you nor will Social Security . Even if the R`s are as mean-spirited and hateful as you may well believe them to be , even as stupid as you feel they are , they are not suicidal .

Most people I know were adult enough to quietly tolerate your man Obie the drug-dealer for his 8 year reign .
