Restrooms at NRC

Just wondering are, if any, rules for non residents and workers around TV using the restrooms at the NRCs?

I am asking because today around 1pm I noticed the driver of a van with the logo stating 'EcoPro' then below that 'a subdivision of Deans' pulled into a NRC. I watched the driver go into the pool area and he seemed to be in the bathroom at least 10 minutes. His co-worker sat in the van waiting.

I took a picture of the truck just to do. I purposely did not name the location (but it was east of Brownwood).

I understand the 'everyone is human' argument. My question is that those restrooms aren't truck stop restrooms and in a way it doesn't seem very safe, and also, if someone else is at the pool, then they have to wait for a person who doesn't pay the Amenities Fees to do there thing. And, when does it become too much? So then I am thinking, do we have security at the NRCs?

Okay. I blew it up. But I do not believe that this a one a done thing, I think it is something someone would have to know they have access to use.

What does everyone think?

Chi-Town 01-10-2017 02:55 PM

Dude, keep a log of unusual happenings for your first year here. With pictures. By the second year you'll have seen it all.

Our pool at Hadley always has a commercial truck or two parked going potty. It's just how they do it here.

TheDude 01-10-2017 03:08 PM

no good question is a dumb question...

:)

I'm learning here.

JoMar 01-10-2017 03:10 PM

The contractors here do a great job of keeping this place working well and looking great. When you see the trucks you will find that 99% are always in TV doing something. I'm ok letting them take a nature break.....besides, how many of us have stopped at a McDonalds to use the potty and didn't buy anything. What? I'm the only one? lol.

Where would you like them to go?

mysunshine1948 01-10-2017 03:34 PM

Too many houses being built to fund the pockets of the developers! That means more and more workers and I am moving!
Too crowded!

Everyone has to do what works for them.

Also keeps a LOT of people in WORK.

Have a nice life.

skip0358 01-10-2017 03:41 PM

It is a restroom. Where would you like them to go ? Would you like it better if he pulled over to the side and went in the bushes ?
A Restaurant would probably not like them using theirs. The only other Public Restrooms are located in the Town Squares. So as a said where would you like them to go ??

Don't forget to turn off the light.

TheDude 01-10-2017 04:12 PM

I expected some 'attacks'.

Okay...
Where would I like them to go? My answer is one of the staffed centers like the village centers. And there are many of them, much nicer IMHO, and much safer for everyone involved.
Would I like them to go on the side of the road? Really?

There is not one person reading these forums who would like someone going to their house and taking a 10-15 minute dump. Be real. Even if they cleaned up after themselves. For the people who live here, you pay for the upkeep, and thinking like this, well next thing you know they will lock the 'honor system' sporting equipment.

If someone gets robbed, or hurt, or has something stolen because all TV pools are free game... well...

I'm wondering if stuff like this is the reason Rohan had locked doors to the recreational equipment Saturday at 3pm.

Chi-Town 01-10-2017 04:31 PM

Dude, just make the list. After a year give us a recap. You're way too anxious this early on.

The builders have setup porta potties for their construction workers as required by the health department. As a neighborhood is built out they move to another neighborhood where houses are to be built. Occasionally, a sub-contractor might use a recreation facility but as far as I know this has not been abused. On the other hand, I don't "hang" around to watch this particular activity.

Pool bathrooms

While I agree with some opinions posted by both the nays and yeas, what's the official position/ What does Community Watch say? Has anyone asked?

Then that is the correct decision for you if you feel that way.

The problem with going into the rec centers is that workers are frequently dirty, at least their shoes are. So, the simple answer is, yes, they are allowed to use the pool and golf course restrooms, but not the rec centers themselves.

What model of home will you be selling? Also, is the bond paid?

OK, Settle down everyone. The Villages has an agreement that allows individuals to use the swimming pool restrooms.

I have read some of the negative comments posted here and quite honestly you should be ashamed.

How about if you found yourself in a situation that you just " Had " to go...and we have all been there. We give our contractors a choice before they start...Pool or Our Restroom ...98% of the time they choose to go somewhere else.

This not a big deal.

pauld315 01-10-2017 07:29 PM

You could always install the coin receptors on the toilet doors like they used to do at airports back in the day. That would defray the cost of the toilet paper they are using!

Please link this. And I am sure you meant 'use'... no word police here; just to be clear.

I'm so calm btw, and no call to arms... just a discussion at which some take personal. Seems the older we get the more discussions become arguments and they need not be bitter.

Please link your findings if they do exist, and if so, you have something I don't (and I have been wrong often) and I want to learn something. Facts for the win.

And my post wasn't about the random person who had to go though I may not have expressed myself very well. And you know, I can't explain it any better so I hope some can read through everything.

My post isn't about our mailbox restrooms being used for emergencies, it about OUR bathrooms being used as truck stop restrooms.

Side note: (well, I was going to type something but stopped myself /tG )

Boom! Well, there you have it folks; another one wanting to move. That means less traffic on the roads, less people at the restaurants, more tee times available. Buh-bye!!!

These construction workers are human beings, just like us. They just don't act like the privileged/entitled, like some here do. They mow most of your yards, they trim your trees and landscaping - they do the work you don't want to do.

Cut them some slack, they have to go to the bathroom somewhere.

Not to long ago I was picking up some guest ID's at Savannah Center. Some landscapers came in to use the restrooms. The person working the desk stopped them and told them it was ok to use the restrooms, but use the ones located at the sports pool.

ColdNoMore 01-10-2017 10:18 PM

I'm shaking my head at some of these responses.

There are probably well over 100 landscapers/grass cutters in TV every single day, with no restrooms nearby...and people want to complain about them using the ones at the pools?

I've also seen a lot of them using the restrooms on the courses, that are near roads...should they also be off limits?

C'mon folks, have we really reached that point as a community? :ohdear:

That is certainly an odd way of looking at the growth of The Villages. You really think they just build houses to fund their wealth ............... if people did not want to buy the homes there would be no homes and no more wealth. It's a market driven business and I wish we had thought of it first;)

So should we have someone manning the restrooms to make sure it's an emergency before they are let in?

Bonny 01-11-2017 08:54 AM

I just can't imagine spending one minute of my life worrying about where someone goes to the bathroom.
These are workers making our place look beautiful & taking care of everything around the Villages.
Geezzzzzz, let them go potty if they need.
They are human beings, not second class citizens. :ohdear:

What mail stations have restrooms??

Rapscallion St Croix 01-11-2017 10:22 AM

The rest rooms are usually vacant 'cause the residents just pee in the pool. You know I'm right..........

I've seen contractors parked and using the pool restroom, and like you, I never gave it a second thought. Just another "shaking my head" moment on ToTv.
