Getting serious again about buying in TV.. was down to TV 3+ years ago and met with a sales rep... so-so experience (not a good 'connection') ... can anyone provide a a strong recomendation on who I should contact to 'complete' the deal!!! Cant wait to lunch at Crisper's.... looking to visit before August is out!! thanks :2excited:

golfnut 08-06-2009 06:46 PM

I used Susan Berman, she was excellent..........GN

movinsoon 08-06-2009 06:53 PM

We used Scott Parrish and he was wonderful. Listened to everything we wanted and made recommendations where appropriate.

Mallory 08-06-2009 07:44 PM

Ron Delk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BogeyBoy 08-06-2009 07:52 PM

Unless their system has changed the original sales rep that you worked with will still get a piece of the pie.

Agent

Tarrant Potter is the best agent I've ever worked with anywhere. He makes sure your home will face the best direction for the hot Florida sun, considers the traffic pattern car head lights etc., very knowledgeable about upgrades and getting the best value for your money. Never!!! pushy, always returns calls, never avoids any questions. Simply the best :eclipsee_gold_cup:

ohiogolf 08-07-2009 09:57 AM

We had a great experience with Michelle Halloy.

dgammon6 08-07-2009 10:50 AM

Justin Wilson .....Very sincere, patient and honest. Everything he said has been accurate. From the day we met him till the day we walked in the door of our house we had no unanswered questions.

KYTeacher 08-07-2009 12:18 PM

I have read posts like these several times over the last couple years...never have seen a reference to our representative...her name is Mitzi Terry. Has anyone worked with her? Tell me your impressions - she has been very nice to us each time we have stopped by (usually on the way to visit family).

Thanks

redwitch 08-07-2009 12:48 PM

Two guys that have really impressed me are Rhod Soutar (very patient and truly listens to what you want) and Joe Constentino (happy to show you both preowned and new). Both of these gentlemen seem to go out of their way to make sure you get to look at what YOU want rather than what the sales office wants you to look at. Another plus to both of these men is that they'll happily work with you year after year until you find the perfect house at the right time for you. I know that Rhod has worked with one client for 5 years before the client finally purchased. Joe took one client out for at least 15 visits over 3 years and was pleased when the client finally purchased a place on the historic side for less than $100K. Both also know TV and their stuff. To me, these are the kind of agents you want to work with.

graciegirl 08-07-2009 01:17 PM

Jim McLaughlin is very trustworthy and kind too.

Henry and I have great confidence in Jim McLaughlin and will certainly use him to find the next house in TV.

alemorkam 08-28-2009 08:43 PM

Besides the many good sales people who work the for the villages, there are many good realtors in the villages who sell resales. If you are looking for a good deal a resale may be what you want. The villages sales people are not the only ones who sell pre-owned homes in the villages. Many resales are in the MLS listing and the villages sales people don't show those houses. So if you are interested in a resale I recommend Karol Clark at Prestige Properties Realty. She can be reached at 352-255-7993, or karol@presprop.com.

Ron Delk - Best Sales Rep

If you are looking for a TV salesperson for new or preowned properties, I recommend Ron Delk (as several others have done also.) He was great - knowledgeable, patient, and there was no pressure.

Coconuts 08-30-2009 06:37 PM

I vote "RON DELK" also. One of the nicest people I've met; worked hard to please us and get it right; no pressure.

JoeB1 09-03-2009 02:31 PM

Chris Day

I would recommend Chris Day to anyone. I believe he is also one of the top sales people in The Villages. Very personable and very knowlegable. He recieved top honors recently for most sales.

BobKat1 09-03-2009 03:36 PM

Anyone work with Mary "Mo" Cook? We met with her briefly a couple of years ago, but not recently.

Was curious to hear if anyone has had recent or more detailed interaction with her.

ssmith 09-04-2009 09:31 AM

Jack Skully????

Has anyone used Jack Skully? He is our Rep...Of course we can't buy yet...seems to be really good....loves to take the time to help you buy and pick out from lot to finish. Not just the predone homes..like many of the reps. Of course that takes more time for him.

Also he is quite the character...you can see him on the commercials for TV...he's leaning looking over the balcony and kisses his wife...

I have to put in a plug for ours, Nanette Tolleson. She went as we say in the Army, "Above and beyond what is usually done or required" for us. Truthfully, if it not for some of the things she helped us with, we would still be wannabes!

Has anyone used Debra Parks?
Thak You,
jmemc

Halle 09-16-2009 10:46 AM

:welcome:

Hi Jmemc46,

Debra Park was our Sales Agent. She is a very good listener and once we had decided what we wanted in a home that is exactly what she showed us. I recommended her to several others and they have also had good experiences with Debra and ended up buying homes in TV. I highly recommend her.

Good luck and welcome to Paradise!

Hardest working representative !!!

We have used Debra Park three times in TV and find her to be well informed and always on the job. I was raised in a real estate family and can honestly say the she must be the hardest working representative I have ever met. And, she throws the best 50's parties for her many clients.

Finding a good realtor in the Villages

Nanette Tolleson, a Village realtor, is excellent. She sold us our home and went way out of her way to work with us. No pressure, but lots of gentle direction.... She understood our needs, likes, and concerns....

Another vote for Debra Park. She is professional with excellent listening skills and she won't push you to buy!

The team of Jackie Murphy and Bob Knorr - knowledgeable, dedicated, efficient and no pressure - both are villagers as is their assistant, Anne Hancock.

We used a MLS agent who helped us get a home in TV and one outside in between January and October this year. we're working on a third home and a commercial plot just outside and they're working diligently to earn our business. A second agent got us a ranch home in TV for my sister, only to have her bail out so we are renting that one.
Another couple from 'up north ' here in Maryland used them as well.
In our two resale purchases we were about to plunk down close to asking, but their suggestion was to come in much lower and the Premier came in for about 15% below.

now's the time to make your purchase, we just hope we can break the ties up here and get moving soon

we and the other couple are moving up our moving goals more and more with each visit

:agree: Ditto, ditto and ditto Bare! Debra Parks is the absolute best realtor I have ever met. Extremely professional, very knowledgable about all aspects of TV, works very hard to find the home with what you are looking for in a home, and things you arent looking for. No wonder I bought so fast as Debra knew exactly what I wanted in a home. I highly recommend Debra , I assure you will not be disappointed.

I went on the Lifestyle Tour in October with Rhod Souter. He was very knowledgeable. But out of curiosity, has anyone looked at the "Stone Crest" 55 and older Development right near "Spanish Springs"? It does not have as many clubs, but there is no $20,000.00 Bond and the HOA Dues are quite a bit more economical. Did anyone else look at other communities before they bought in TV?

graciegirl 12-13-2009 06:52 PM

We have friends in StoneCrest. They have A golf course and A restaurant. It is a development that I think is built out. The homes I saw were older and they didn't have the " deed restrictions" we have in The Villages.

I know our friends come to The Villages for restaurants and to play cards and shuffleboard.

It is like ONE village kind of, but I don't think that it is near as nice.

No comparison for me, anyway.

Jeannie 12-14-2009 05:20 PM

Gracie Girl, don't want to sound naive but what do you mean by "built out"? Thanks, Jeannie

graciegirl 12-14-2009 06:13 PM

Jeannie.

I am not sure of my facts on this, but it looked like they did not have any new building going on. That they may have used up the space they had..and were finished enlarging the development, which is what built out means.

But...I am not sure. I bet someone knows.

Gracie,

There was a thread on TOTV last week about limiting vistors that raised issues on local people using TV amenities.

Pertaining to those concerns, "How do these non-TV Residents play cards and shuffleboard here?"

I feel like I get badged every time I use the amenities here.

I know - I know!

Stonecrest is about 60% built out 1800 units of 3200 (or there abouts). New homes going in at the north side.

Our male friend is in some kind of regional shuffleboard league. The answer is I don't know.

Best sales REP

We had June Brine. HAd a great eye for detail. Friendly. Knowledgeable. Answered all questions, and the paperwork was all explained and organized.
We bought a villa, and JUNE KNEW VILLAS. Pat White, at the time, was her assistant.

Jeannie 12-15-2009 06:38 AM

Gracie, we visited Stone Creek in October when we went for our Lifestyle tour of TV. We took a look around at other developments. Stone Creek is building a new section called "North Valley". We are visiting again in June, 2010 just to see what has gone up, is being built, etc. before we make up our minds. I have until the end of 2010 when I am retiring. Thanks again for your input ~ all your threads seem to be so full of wisdom. If you hear of anything more with Stone Creek, please let me know. Jeannie
