Golf Carts for sale on lawns
I drive Hillsborough and Moyer Loop daily and I have noticed more and more carts for sale on lawns of homes on corner lots or in back yards, if this is not stopped I am concerned that we will see car lots and used furniture sprawled on lawns with "for sale" on them. Your opinion !!!

Take action, My Daily Run. Call Community Standards when you see the violation you described. |
If that’s the biggest problem we have to worry about then I guess we are in pretty good shape. The world is not coming to an end because someone has their 2011 Yamaha for sale on their lawn.

Golf cart sales on lawns are a gateway to selling puppies out of cardboard boxes, hookers leaning against lamp posts and possibly even gypsy gals doing palm readings in driveways,

who cares, let them sell anything they want.:MOJE_whot:

On a more serious note: I do agree, it's not pretty but is a "cart for sale" in a driveway rather than a lawn the same or worse or better? Or 12 carts PARKED on a front lawn for a Mahjong game? What about "Estate Sale" or "Garage Sale" or "Moving Sale" signs (with or without balloons) on every corner in the neighborhood of one of those sales? Or large religious symbols on holidays stuck in lawns for weeks at a time (UH OH - religion!) or 6' high Flamingo's .... or or or or. |

Pretty petty, it will sell quick then gone

Golf carts are a lot better site and only short term compared to dogs dumping at pool and post box areas

Gessshhhh, the things people complain about!!

When we lived in NC, a bunch of old busy body's, formed "the snoop squad", they would snoop around people's houses when no one was home & give complaints to the POA for any violation--was one reason we vowed to never live in any community governed by POA/HOA or condo association

"The Community Standards Deed Compliance Division is entirely complaint driven.""
Correct but they have little enforcement powers in reality, all they do is write the homeowner a letter. If they still don't comply they tell you to take them to court. For all of you that think filing complaints you remain anonymous, think again, anyone can find out who it is. Stop being pansies, go over to your neighbors house say hello have a beer work it out. |

As for the Church's I couldn't say with any direct knowledge since I don't attend them but I assume they should as do Synagogues (and Mosques). ;) |

So what's the big deal if I occasionally park mine in my yard, on it's roof?

Going to Community Standards for this is a huge waste of time. By the time you get through the process (can easily take months) the cart will most likely be sold and gone. Same with yard sales, homes for sale by owner, and all the other short term annoyances for some, all that stuff will be over long before Community Standards is effective. Now, back to that lamp post :)

Some of you people have to much time on your hands. Join a club or something. This is ridiculous I was thinking of moving down there Here is another good reason not to. I would bet that if this yard was your golfing buddies, You wouldn't say a word. Chill out people

Most everyone here has LOT of time on their hands which is why it is the "Largest RETIREMENT community in the US." [emoji16] While I don't agree with MOST of the picyune stuff we all b1tch about we all did sign the same (or similar) DEED RESTRICTION agreement that we are supposed to abide by as happens in most communities like this. They are in place for a reason. You have the opportunity to decide but DO NOT decide based on the postings on ANY TYPE FORUM ANYWHERE. They generally do not reflect the views of the vast majority of residents just a small bunch of grumpy opinionated old(ish) folks like myself. I've been here a year and despite this forum I love it, warts and all. There are some things I don't like (6' flamingos [emoji2]) but live with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Nobody would ignore the 99.87564783% of good reasons for something such as this thread takes space with. REALLY? Nah we will go with you jest (right?). |
I'm averaging 3 cart sales a week...from my prime yard location.
Quite frankly though, I think it is the helium balloons, pink flamingos and half dozen cacti next to them...that are mostly responsible for the quick sales. :D |

Flamingos make people think you moved here from Southern Florida
It just isn't "in". |

We moved here because we like deed restrictions. Keeps ever-one in line. No one here has to be talked into The Villages. I bet you'd like top of the world. |
