A few years back there was a fun thread that listed notable Villagers. Since it has been a while, and so many new folks call the Villages home, I thought it might be fun to see if we have new famous, or infamous residents.

I recently saw that Rennie Stennett lives here. He was a fabulous hitter on the Pittsburgh Pirates. In fact he has a major league record of SEVEN hits in one nine inning game!

Any others?

(The Late) Whitey Bolger? He lived slightly "off campus" in his own bubble. :D

I'd be interested in who were/are some of the previously listed notables. I once thought hero pilot Sully Sullenberger lived here because he was interviewed on TV a few years ago from The Villages. Maybe he was on a Lifestyle rental thing.

I heard Jay Leno's mom lives here.

I thought saw him in the daily "pedigree parade" at LSL today.

I have heard that Freddie Cannon lives here. I'd love to get in touch with him as he is from my home town. My father was friendly with his father.

Leno was born April 28, 1950 in New Rochelle, New York. His homemaker mother, Catherine (née Muir; 1911–1993) died 25 years ago.

I was once mentioned in our towns local paper, when I scored the winning goal in an inter schools soccer match, back in 1951. :icon_wink:

Steve Carell of The Office parents lived here, I believe in Summerhill, although I read his mother died in 2016 at age 90. Not sure if his father continues to live here.

I believe 2009 British Open winner golfer Stewart Cink's parents live here, I think in Mallory or Caroline.

What is your hometown? Freddie was born in Revere, MA and grew up in Lynn. I was born and grew up in Lynn also, but after Freddie as he was born in 1941. At least that's what the music channels says about him.

He was at a ( I think it was a) New Years party my sister attended here in TV so I assume he’s here. Saw her selfie with him on Facebook.

Lots of celebrities in our midst depending on how one defines "celebirty".

He was on Sirius Radio a couple weeks ago talking about his cruises with Rocky and The Rollers and mentioned he was living on the Gulf Coast, he named the town but I can't remember it.

I'm from Revere. Freddie's father and my father were officers in the Moose Club on Broadway Revere. I met him there a few times.

I don’t remember which concert we were attending but Cannon was sitting behind us (a really bad toupee) and several of us engaged in conversation. He said he lives near here but did not say where. He could have multiple homes.

I'm hiding in TV.

WOW haven’t heard the name Peter Nero in years. When I studied piano as a teen my teacher had me learn some piano solo transcriptions arranged by Nero. I think one of my favorites was “The Days of Wine and Roses.”

Lynn and Revere Ma I remember the many drives thru those cities to get to Hilltop Steakhouse for some of the best steak and strong drinks I ever had in a restaurant.

Cool, he does look a bit different that the cover on the piano transcription book.......yup and why wouldn’t he that book was published in the late 50s or early 60s.

Cool. I am listed in a number of Marquis Who's Who in America volumes but then so are many other people.

My wife and I were the 1979 Showpalace Hawaiian Disco Champions. I'm sure that's good for just about nothing. Haha. :-)
