How about fetching your paper from your driveway, removing it from the plastic bag, and then washing your hands?

Why stop there ... perhaps the USPS, UPS, FedEx, Amazon, etc. should stop all deliveries of everything to homes. <kidding, of course>

Perhaps you could cancel your subscription to The Daily Sun if this concerns you so much.

Are you going to carry wipes and wash your dishes and drink glasses when a server bring them Or wipe down all your purchased store items after the clerk scans them

thelegges 03-14-2020 10:36 AM

Newspaper, what is used in case of an emergency delivery of a baby. You must really be in panic mode, if you think your newspapers are out to get you

I purchased 2,000 disposal gloves from Amazon $11.99 ( 500) per box, free delivery. I carry them everywhere. Very useful playing Pickleball, especially after the match ends I shake hands, where others have stopped that practice, they touch paddles or elbows.

Some of my neighbors liked my idea so they have ordered them. It's catching on. I have now ordered 2 more boxes, I shake a lot of hands, no elbow greetings for me ! :clap2:

Unless you have long arms you are not following the 6 foot rule.

I saw on the news today that tapping feet is another way for greeting someone. Looks like a new dance!

Well aren’t you the clever one! So, you shake person 1 with your gloved hand, then shake person 2’s hand passing germs from person 1. Then shake 3 passing 1 and 2’s germs, and on and on. Brilliant.

What happened to the post on Saturday re: Practical Coronavirus Advice? I wanted to print it. Why would such a useful post be censored like that??? Please post a link. Thank you!

As long as you get a daily paper, you’ll never run out of toilet paper. The phone book also works, if you have one. Sears catalogs were long a favorite, but they are hard to find these days.

It was found to be fake.
It sounded very plausible but some investigated, and most of the alleged sources did not make the statements.
Fooled me though, but that isn't hard these days!!

The virus can live on surfaces! Gloves, too!

jswirs 03-15-2020 06:35 AM

I have never seen such infantile panic....even at the turn of the century, it wasn't as ridiculous as this.:ohdear:

rafullem 03-15-2020 06:52 AM

Very Well Said

gregcharlesnelson@gmail 03-15-2020 07:13 AM

TV is a breading ground...old age and conditions too

Jannygirl 03-15-2020 07:28 AM

And germs can be on your gloves, so you could still be spreading

newgirl 03-15-2020 07:35 AM

Haha I think it’s funny everyone touches the same ball that hundreds have touched but are afraid to fist bump

Drdoug49 03-15-2020 07:46 AM

TV is filled with elderly people who cling to the past and unable to adapt to rapidly changing conditions in this coronavirus world
The president declared this a national emergency because this is much more dangerous than the flu and TV is very vulnerable because of the age of people here and their inability to adapt to a brave new world we live in

togabill 03-15-2020 07:48 AM

Heck, the Spanish Springs and Fiesta Bowling Centers are still open. Can’t think of a worse place to be with hundreds of not so young bowlers in very close spaces. Leagues still going with the only option to not show up or forfeit.

Seriously? Talk about misinformed.

nn0wheremann 03-15-2020 08:29 AM

Nitrile gloves are cheap

Why not wear surgical gloves if you are so concerned? A box of 100 is less than $10 last time I checked. Keep your filthy nasties to yoursel, and keep away from everyone else’s viri and bacteria.

Wait, what? You are wearing gloves and shaking hands with people who are not? You know the virus can live on the gloves, so while keeping yourself save you are possibly infecting others. This is one of the most mind blowing posts I've seen since the virus started. For God's sakes, stop touching people.

How about just wash your hands after you pickup your newspaper. Seems logical to me.

All you need to do is touch your face with the contaminated gloves.

I actually Spray the " Disposable Gloves " with " Raid " after putting them on, Lemon Scent, of course.

I should have mentioned that.
