Isn't New York a Gun Free Zone ?? :ohdear:

Lets do less to fight crime. What could possibly go wrong?

Sad, but predictable...what were they thinking would happen
well, more and more people and businesses will be fleeing from the big cities, leaving those big city officials scratching their heads as they watch their tax revenue declining and their drastically underfunded city pension plans getting worse. do you spell default in upper or lower case? memo to self....avoid investing in any municipal bonds |
It is just so hard to believe how stupid these officials/politicians are. I can't believe what is happening in this country. What the hell is going on? Who the hell are these crazy people? I am saddened and fearful.

This should be of no surprise to anyone. Look what happened in Baltimore after the Freddie Gray incident. The police backed off and homicides soared. The same will happen in every big city that tries to demonize their police force.
|
Maybe they have decided there is a "new norm" for unpoliced era murders and assaults.
Most certainly they know that eliminating law enforcement will ONLY embolden the criminal element resulting in increased crime, physical harm and death. Wouldn't they? To appease the crowd and the politics they have knowingly traded off law and order for increased violence and murder. This should scare the living crap out of the average law abiding citizen(s). The entire issue could have easily been dealt with by stating acceptable rules of engagement. The law and order abiding majority need to make their wishes known across the country before it becomes too late. |

Soon NYC officials will be crying because their tourism and conventions have not returned.

We have some mighty odd ducks for mayors around this country. |
If Giuliani were major, this would not be happening. I’m a born and raised NYer and began my working career during the 70s. You couldn’t walk through the streets without climbing over homeless and being accosted by windshield washers intimidating you when you parked at a red light. A marked difference during Giuliani in the 90s. You actually were inclined to hang around the city to go to a show and have a bite to eat. Because he empowered the police and supported them.

Me too.

The aim of the crazy foxes, is the destruction of our country. They don't want to rock the boat, they want to tip the boat over. I want and welcome diversity in my country and my community. But, I also welcome law and order equally applied to all. As long as there are those who prey and abuse others the laws must be enforced, order maintained and correcting measures applied equally to all. Please stay safe. Please stay healthy. Peace. |

One of smartest things Abraham Lincoln did was appoint Grant as general in charge and let him do his job. |

The criminals know that the police are scarce due to them leaving the force or retiring. These bad people are having a field day with little or no consequences.

It’s because it’s being done by thugs, who don’t know the difference between Grant and Donald Duck.

Give them an inch and they take a mile. It's now gotten to "that girl got raped cuz her skirt was too short" territory. "These statues are just asking for it" I'm still waiting for the name change of New York and Yale, both of which were named for or founded by actual slave traders. |
Yup …. It's a sad state of affairs. But thankfully, we have the 2nd Amendment, and it's so easy to exercise. Only a few states suppress it …..New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey and Illinois (and maybe a couple more).
I always carry when travelling, and sometimes while here. But methinks that I should carry all the time. After all, TV is considered a "soft target". |

I would not be able to provide the answer without getting political. That being said, I drink my coffee with my left hand.
