Somebody up there must not be following the rules. Online they gave a bar code upon signup that you have to bring with you.

Hopefully this is just bait to stir an already agrivated pot.

If you just drove up without an appointment and they processed you....shame on you and those who allowed it.

For those not aware, the vaccine protects you if you get the Virus. It is unknown if the vaccine also prevents you from transmitting the virus. So precautions need to be continued until determined otherwise.

Do I need to wear a mask and still avoid close contact after receiving 2 doses of the vaccine.

Yes.

While experts learn more about the protection that COVID-19 vaccines provide under real-life conditions, it will be important for everyone to continue using all the tools available to us to help stop this pandemic, like covering your mouth and nose with a mask, washing hands often, and staying at least 6 feet away from others.

Together, COVID-19 vaccination and following CDC’s recommendations for how to protect yourself and others will offer the best protection from getting and spreading COVID-19.

Experts need to understand more about the protection that COVID-19 vaccines provide before deciding to change recommendations on steps everyone should take to slow the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19. Other factors, including how many people get vaccinated and how the virus is spreading in communities, will also affect this decision.

Tell that to the old guy who was on line behind my husband at Panera Bread just a little while ago. He came within one foot behind my husband as he stood on line. Hubby asked him to please step back to leave 6 feet. The old guy's answer....."Get over it. Get over it".

It is people with attitudes like this old guy that has put our country in the dire mess it is in now with this pandemic. Thanks. NOT!!!!!

Hey look I don't make the rules. What should I have done? Say no! My wife is having cancer surgery in a week. We were there kind of early. They knew people were having trouble getting appts. online so they agreed. Some of you find something wrong with anything a person posts on here. They are here for 90 days according to a friend who went. Early bird gets the worm! Did you learn that one in school? :MOJE_whot:

They give you a vaccination card kind of like in the military. They said an appt. would be sent via email in 28 days for the second shot.

No problem. People always find a negative. Her cancer is very rare. Slow growth big cell. Secondly none of your concern! Remember HIPPA!

That is not true. I spoke with a Dr. relative today who works for the CDC in Atlanta. This person is an infectious disease specialist and way up in ranks. She said better to get than not. With all the testing it proved that the injection can protect you but not enough concrete data to show that you cannot still contact the virus. Time will tell.

You posted, on social media, CANCER. The negative for me is 4th cancer, and was surprised that when you are immune compromised, all 3 of my oncologist did not want vaccine given. Since 2 are from the U in MI and one from UF, it was a short conversation, all in agreement wait.
If you didn’t want people to comment, and none of their business, one might want to reread your posts before hitting send. It’s not HIPPA, if coming from patient or patient family, which I am guessing you have permission from spouse to post. After 45 years in medical I can recite that piece of paper backwards

You do your thing and we will do ours. We are ok with the vaccine. If you are not I feel for your cancer and hope you get better. This is my wife's third round and she has been everywhere from MD Anderson to Emory in Atlanta and currently Moffit in Tampa. Good luck and prayers with you!

I'm confused. The text you are taking exception to comes directly from the CDC website. Are you asserting that your contact in the CDC disagrees with the official position of the CDC or are you in violent agreement with the post that you are disagreeing with?
