Villages Golf Cart Map

Where can I get a Villages map showing golf cart paths?

Mikeod 09-01-2010 04:06 PM

Here is the link to get all the maps:
https://www.talkofthevillages.com/fo...hp?pageid=maps

The regular Villages map shows the main cart paths. They are available at several locations, the sales offices, the country club pro shops, and other places. $5

Thanks! I live north of 466......not sure how to get across 466 by cart

Kathy

North to South Tunnels - 466

Tunnels under 466 are at:

_ Morse Boulevard (some avoid because of the Morse Bridge narrow cart path)

- Saddlebrook (now a detour because of cart path work)

- Southern Trace

PM if you need more.

Smaller map

I know that the large map is available for $5, but we have seen the 8.5 x 11 inch map of TV with the cart paths marked in red. Does anyone know where we can get this? I have found the similar map of the Exec. Courses, and one of the Rec. Centers online, but not the cart paths one. Thanks!

You can get that 8.5 x 11 map at the Lake Sumter Landing Sales Center.

Try the country club pro shops... no need to cross 466.

If you goto maps.google.com and search the villages then click directions and Bike guy most of the paths will be dotted green. shared road is usally solid green

Some of these are in need of updating

Well, I just spent two weeks [a month ago] putting almost all of these trails in Google Maps. If you will tell me which trails need updated I will take care of it.

Be advised, the Google Map team resides in India and they decide the solid green, green dotted line, etc. I have tried to get some of those changed, but they will not change them, even though I am the one who inputted the trails to begin with. Whatever....

Let me know the changes needed.... Please be specific.

Thanks.... Mike

Here is a better link for accessing the map:

The Villages Fl - Google Golf Cart Map

Zoom in for specific areas.

Google earth

Speaking of maps, does anyone know how often Google Earth updates? I try to look up areas of TV and they still show dirt. Google earth is so cool.

starflyte1 02-09-2012 10:13 AM

I would like to have the unmapped trails mapped. For instance, there is a shortcut from Morse to SS thru Hacienda East and two more from Morse to El Camino Real. Those are nice because you do not have to go around the cart path at the round a bout.

I don't think they have any update schedules that would tell us when we could expect to see new views. Could be wrong and if I am it's a schedule I'm not aware of or have detected over time.

Send any suggestions you have to memason. That's his project!

I don't know where these trails are located. Can you give me a little more information, including some street names that might be close by. I can only find the trails via google earth, but I need to know where to look, precisely.

I found the 8 1/2 X 11" golf card map here on TOTV awhile ago, and can't find it now. Does anyone know the link/location of it here on this site? Thanks!

Here's the link to the prior thread where that map is posted:

Try the Villages Golf Cart Sales Office in either of 3 locations.
They should have the 8.5X11.
The Villages Phone book also has it and you can scan it to your computer then print it out as needed.

Click on the link provided in post #21 above. See the first post in that thread - click on the map picture in that first post, then right click on the resulting map. You can save it....do whatever you'd like with it at that point. At least that worked for me on my pc.

Bill :)

Please refer to a previous thread on this subject:

One of our fellow TOTVers, MEMASON, creatively edited Google Maps so you can follow multimodal trails for The Villages. You can print your maps as well as download on your phone.

Redrok 07-13-2012 07:38 PM

I think the map is found right here on TOTV. Look at the links in the upper left "Site Navigation" area. There is a selection that says "The Villages Maps". At that page you can download the PDF "Golf Cart Path Map". Hope this helps.

You can get a golf cart map at any of the sales offices. They have the golf cart trails in red and the tunnels are brown. (free map)
We also have the overview maps (free)
And the $5 street maps.
Just go in and ask any lobby host and they will give you one.

ronsroni 07-14-2012 01:36 AM

I will happily send you a copy. PM me if you like.

tainsley 07-14-2012 06:18 AM

We just picked up a golf cart map at the sales office at LSL last week. Free of charge.
