GMR Contacted me today for vaccine

Good news via email, GMR gave me a code for shot number one also number 2 today.
I had registered on 1/11 and have heard nothing until today a month later and was getting frustrated if I was not knowing really on the list.

bobdeb 02-13-2021 05:12 PM

Registered on Jan 15th. Still waiting.

Curious as to how many folks may have registered before me but have already obtained the vaccine elsewhere.

Also curious as to what happens in that regard? Is that accounted for somehow?

 Did you mean Jan. 11th.? Thanks. I signed up on 1/12 it would help to know. :)

vintageogauge 02-13-2021 05:42 PM

We signed up in early January and have heard nothing.

Byte1 02-13-2021 05:54 PM

Not sure if GMR contacted us or not. We have had several contacts, either by phone or text. We hedged our bets by registering with Sumter co., Lake co. Marion co., GMR, Flcovid, etc. We received our shots through Publix, and then started getting contacted. The next day, I even received a text from the VA clinic here, asking me if I wanted the vaccination. And I thought they were only giving it to those 75yo and older.
In case anyone cares, our shots we received from Publix are Moderna.
And to the poster that was asking what they are doing if they contact those that already have their shots, the lady told me on the phone that they would just move on down the list of registered. So, no shots are being wasted, if that is the concern.

dbcolli 02-13-2021 05:54 PM

Sorry it was January 11 at 6AM.

FromDC 02-13-2021 06:08 PM

Based on another active thread.......GMR is now contacting people, who signed up on Jan. 11th, to set up their vaccine appointments.

I was put on their Wait List on Jan. 13th at 1:30pm. I'll just wait until I get notified before I set up a vaccination date.

My wife and I signed up on January 12 at 4:15 am and we both received codes on February 13 at 12:52 pm, to schedule our vaccines. As is the case with some others, we have already received our first dose through Publix and therefore our spots will go to the next people on the list. That should make the people on the waiting list move up the list quicker.

I registered on Monday, Jan 11, at around 6 PM, and I got an email Saturday, Feb 13, at 12:45 PM with a reservation code. But, the code was worthless because I had already completed both Moderna vaccine doses at Publix.

DebbieHale 02-14-2021 05:45 AM

I signed up in mid Dec and finally got appointment this past Wednesday.
Beware: if you use GPS, there are 2 streets in the area named Woodbridge. Trust me - it is not fun to be near Rohan instead of near 466.

Cheapbas 02-14-2021 06:05 AM

Yes I finally got mine ( Jan 12th to Feb 13th), and it figures I got in the Lake County DOH vaccine the day before.

So, can I put this invite and code on EBay now?

Just kidding. I did the right thing and found a link where it seemed to allow me to cancel, which I did.

kcrazorbackfan 02-14-2021 06:32 AM

Got my code Wednesday; set my appointment for yesterday (Saturday) from 5:30 to 6pm; the site got very heavy rain yesterday so the site was moved to the charter school; got there at 4:45 yesterday afternoon and finally got the shot right at 10pm. Yippee The only time I’ve waited in a line that long was at Woodstock.

PennBF 02-14-2021 06:43 AM

Scheduled

Was originally scheduled for Jan 19th shot which was cancelled. Last Thursday was
notified I could reschedule and did for Friday 12th in Wildwood Community Center. Got the first shot Friday and have had no reaction(s). The Wildwood Community Center is the best in showing up, getting the shot, waiting for 15 minutes with Nurses on hand. They are the gold standard as to how this should be handles!:bigbow:

Catalina36 02-14-2021 06:43 AM

OK, what does GMR stand for???????

newlife1 02-14-2021 06:46 AM

What was procedure for making appointment? Did they give you several days to choose from? How far out?

newlife1 02-14-2021 06:49 AM

What was procedure for getting appointment? Did they give options/days? I have other commitments and don’t want to miss out.

If you are on the saferestart/GMR wait list you will get an email with a reservation code.
Then go back to saferestart website, click the second box "...to make an appointment...", then a few questions for clearing, then a list of avaialble dates and times, after choosing a date you will then be sent an email confirming your reservation for both the first and second shot dates.
There will be a bar code at the end of the email.

You are done until your appointment date and time. Take email with bar code and driver's license to sight stated in the email.

Then follow the tail lights to the actual injection spot.

Jerrysherry 02-14-2021 07:05 AM

How do you sign up at Wildwood Community center ?

newlife1 02-14-2021 07:35 AM

When we received our code, 2/12, the dates were 2/13, 2/16, 2/17 and 2/18 each date with many open dates am through pm.

Thanks for posting! Now we know that the Global Medical Response (GMR) Wait List is now contacting people who signed up on Jan. 12th. This is good to know!

That is because the street you talk of near 466 is not Woodbridge , but is Woodridge. No “b” in it. One is Bridge and one is Ridge. Too closely related for one area if you ask me. But no body asked me. Nobody ever asks me. 😢

Good for you! I registered on 1/13 and haven't heard anything. Maybe there is hope. I try at Publix every time they are making appointments and can never get in even with 2 phones, my laptop and mt Kindle.

Did you get notified by GMR? I thought everyone went to Buffalo Ridge.

kimgarwel12@gmail.com 02-14-2021 08:08 AM

I, too, registered in early January (can't remember the exact date), but have only received 2 emails since then saying I was still on the wait list. No code for an appointment as yet; however, Walmart is now giving the vaccine and I was able to schedule an appointment at the WM on 466 for this coming Tuesday for the first shot. We'll see how that goes. I was there last Wednesday to get some groceries and pick up another prescription, so I asked them about the vaccine and they told me they were going to start giving it and gave me written instructions to make the appointment. I tried several times on Wednesday to schedule an appointment but kept getting the message that the vaccine was "currently not available in your location," and to choose another location or try again later. On Thursday, I tried again and success!! The locations popped up, I chose one, and a list of appointment times available. I had to sign into my Walmart account to schedule, so if you don't have an account, you may have to create one, but it didn't ask for any "sensitive" info, just asked if I was a FL resident and over 65 and then asked for my DOB. Very easy!

PennBF 02-14-2021 08:12 AM

Schedule

They provided a couple of days as options and also various times available. I chose 12 noon and showed up at 11:30 AM and went right thru and was out and done in about 30 minutes as there were few cars waiting. They were/are totally organzed

My husband and I registered on January 12. I got my scheduling code yesterday, but since we are not official residents of Florida (just renters) we signed up for and got our first shots in our home state last week after making a quick trip home. Thank goodness for cheap air fares.

I notified GMR via the website that I was cancelling so that opens up another slot. I did look to see how far out they were scheduling and it was from 2/16-2/20.

Good luck everyone. Scheduling is definitely a game, but as time goes on, there will be fewer players competing for those slots.

Betty Wagner 02-14-2021 08:45 AM

Got mine yesterday also. Took awhile but patience pays.

newlife1 02-14-2021 08:56 AM

When did you sign up 2/12? We signed up 2/13.

raynan 02-14-2021 09:04 AM

I signed up at 11am on 1/12 and still haven't heard anything. Meantime I called Lake County last Tuesday and got my shot on Thurs.

FromDC 02-14-2021 09:21 AM

It appears that GMR was able to reach out to all the Jan. 11th Wait List people. This took approximately 3-4 days. Now they are working on their Jan. 12th list. We have no idea how many people are on each daily Wait List. I guess this should be called the Wait-And-See List.

High accolades go out to the people who have contacted GMR about having their names removed from the Wait List. You deserve an extra Valentine today. This will help speed up the process of working through the list!

Keep letting us know when you signed up for the Wait List and then when you were contacted to make your appointment!

newlife1 02-14-2021 09:25 AM

We signed up on January 13. Nothing yet. Someone said if you signed up twice it throws out your first sign up... I may have signed up twice.. do not remember... ugh!

Ditto. Wish they'd, at least, email every two weeks or so, to let us know we're "still on the list." No news IS NOT good news in this regard!

Happyone2 02-14-2021 09:27 AM

I signed up Jan 11, at 1030pm and got a code yesterday, which I cancelled because got shot elsewhere, so think things
will open up for a lot of people since alot of us went other places for the vaccine.

msilagy 02-14-2021 09:47 AM

There was no sign up mid Dec for GMR - vaccines just announced - you are confused

msilagy 02-14-2021 09:49 AM

Don't believe the 1st sign up throw off assumption - they will honor the 1st sign up - unless it's the computer at GMR telling you - don't believe it!

Mhollowaygleasom 02-14-2021 09:54 AM

We were scheduled for our first shot with GMR 1/20/21 and they closed up shop without a word. Finally got a call last week from them but we were fully vaccinated at Mt Dora.
