How’s Ken doing?

Ok, Ken Jennings IMO doing great on Jeopardy. At first I was on the fence. But I got use to him?

CFrance 02-15-2021 08:00 PM

I like him. He has a sense of humor and a connection to the show.

Decadeofdave 02-15-2021 08:11 PM

Alex has some big shoes to fill, Ken is doing great IMO.

Stu from NYC 02-15-2021 10:13 PM

Ken is doing well wonder if he would want to be replacement.

BTW, I think Ken is doing great

graciegirl 02-15-2021 11:10 PM

He fits perfectly. I didn't think anyone would. I hope they choose him to be host.

mixsonci 02-16-2021 02:02 AM

I agree, I like Ken a lot and he's doing great, smooth transition.

Darield 02-16-2021 06:04 AM

It's going to be difficult watching all the other guest hosts because Ken seems like such a good fit. He really did his homework and has done a great job in honoring Alex Trebek. I was surprised the guest list was so large.

ABGinVA 02-16-2021 06:04 AM

This variety approach will ruin the show; Ken Jennings is doing a great job and should be the new host of this great game.

I think Ken Jennings is doing fine. I wish they had just gone with him. Not looking forward to the other guest hosts.

La lamy 02-16-2021 06:38 AM

I like him a lot. Great delivery, intonation, humor without being condescending, and truly knowledgeable. He was my first choice as a replacement, but I'm afraid they're going to get a hollywood 'celebrity' to take over. :ohdear:

PurePeach 02-16-2021 06:42 AM

Ken Jennings

Unless he’s changed his mind, he said he didn’t want to be the permanent Jeopardy host. I love him and hope the convince him to stay. He shares the same demeanor that Alex Trebeck had and we really enjoy him.

juscause 02-16-2021 07:05 AM

I was absolutely against the idea after I heard the bad news about Alex. On his other show, Master Minds, he can be arrogant at times. However, I was so wrong about his ability to step up to this big opportunity. He has been gracious, kind, and there has been no evidence whatsoever of any trace of "I would have gotten that right" from him. I hope he gets the permanent gig.

Kathy Plato 02-16-2021 07:22 AM

I agree. Was concerned when he first started, now wish
they would just continue with him.

mike234 02-16-2021 07:28 AM

if you put on andeerson Cooper, I turn the station. if you put on Katie auric, I am gone. Savana Guthrie, also gone.....try Brooke burns. smart, can read, and as far as I know, no political nonsense from her.....but ken Jennings is doing fine, sign him and all is well.

Cheapbas 02-16-2021 07:40 AM

They probably don’t have to even put the answers on the cards for him.

oldtimes 02-16-2021 07:53 AM

Ken is great. When they put on Dr Oz I will stop watching.

Cranford61 02-16-2021 07:55 AM

I agree. I emailed Jeopardy.com and expressed my happiness with Ken. He’s quick, kind, smart and humble. Not to mention he would be totally dedicated as others have had previous tv gigs. You should also email Jeopardy.com before they turn it into a host-centered carousel of stars. It’s about the game.

Rosebud1949 02-16-2021 07:58 AM

Go Ken

He was not my first choice either and I thought the first week he talked too fast, but he has settled down and is doing well. Interaction with the contestants is good, not sure if the "other guest" hosts will be able to do the same Well done Ken

Rosebud1949 02-16-2021 08:00 AM

Yep

No cards needed for Ken he knows most of the answers

Right on Mike! I'll do the same!

Uphillputt330 02-16-2021 08:40 AM

Ken is doing great!

He has grown greatly from the first few shows. He fits right in.

daca55 02-16-2021 08:42 AM

I too think Jen is doing a far better job than I thought he would. He would definitely make a good replacement for Alex but as has been mentioned I am not sure he wants the job on a permeant basis. Not sure the show will be the same with some of the other hosts mentioned.

Bonnevie 02-16-2021 08:58 AM

agree with everyone....he's definitely grown into the job. and the job should go to someone who loves trivia as much as he.

Stu from NYC 02-16-2021 09:11 AM

We have been DVR ing it and usually watch one a night.

We shall see if we do the same with the other guest hosts

4557Spahr 02-16-2021 09:31 AM

Katie Couric is too political and should not be hosting after she said all Trump supporters should be reprogrammed. Alex never stated his political opinion. I think that’s why we liked him so much. He related to everyone. We are enjoying Ken. When Katie hosts I won’t be watching.

marball 02-16-2021 09:50 AM

Jeopardy

I think Ken Jennings is doing a fabulous job. He's the perfect replacement for Alex Trebek. Great sense of humor and since he's been on the other side of the fence, he really does understand the contestants.

Dgodin 02-16-2021 10:09 AM

He is doing better than i expected. I could live with him as a long term host, but I am anxious to see the others.

doodles 02-16-2021 10:15 AM

Think it’s a mistake to have all those guest hosts listed . Some may be ok but there are only 3 I would want to see. I do think Ken will be the best

I'm waiting to see a non-TV celebrity like Aaron Rodgers the quarterback, that should be interesting. He was a contestant on celebrity week, so he knows what he's getting involved with. I'm sure they will doing dry runs prior to the live broadcast, which would include coaching and watching themselves on playback.

I wonder why you don't want Anderson, Katie or Savanah? Why would you think there would be political nonsense? It kills me that suddenly people feel negative about the incredibly smart atty Savanah Guthie....because she spanked MR. X so badly a few months ago? She really showed the world his intelligence level....it was great. Oh yeah, he had a problem with Leslie Stahl also....hummm, I sense a pattern here.

He was a bit stiff in the beginning, in my opinion, but seems to have become more comfortable as the weeks have progressed. There are other guest hosts slated for future shows so it will be interesting to see who becomes the permanent host. Alex left big shoes to fill and there will never be another like him. He was a guest in our living rooms for so many years, he became family. I always thought that Ken Jennings would be perfect.

That just goes to prove Mike's point, she couldn't do an interview without getting political to the extent of being bias toward the person she was interviewing.

I remember Savannah from CourTV, I was regular viewer when it was first aired in the late 90s until it went the air, and Savannah was a courthouse reporter. She does tend to let politics get into her questions. I was regular viewer of the Today Show since I was a kid in the 50s with Dave Garroway, and watched right to Matt Lauer. The Savannah, Hoda, and the rest on the Today Show now, has ruined what was a great morning show and I quit watching.

Vernon Hud 02-16-2021 11:01 AM

Like Ken Jennings a lot, and at least he seems to get through all the questions, something that I did not like about Alex, to much B.S

Ditto for my wife and I we both tabled the Today Show.

mbmalley41 02-16-2021 11:07 AM

He has pleasant energy. Contestants feel at ease.

I care more about a Ken Doll than some Ken on a show that I would NEVER watch. I PROUDLY would never watch ANY game show. I might watch a chess match - MIGHT?

Charsaunt 02-16-2021 12:17 PM

With Ken the cream has certainly risen to the top. Personally, I don't think I'll be re-programmed in time to watch Katie Couric. But seeing as how she already knows everything about everybody, she must already know this.

Just wondering if you have any problem with some of the questions??
