Best burgers
Who has the best burgers in The Villages?

The best burger is the one that you prefer, though everyone will have an opinion. Square 1 has a large selection and usually has some promotion going on. World of Beer is tasty and has their $5.99 promotion on Monday. I've had both of those and go back regularly. I've seen burgers at Cody's and RJ Gators that look really good though I haven't tried them. There's always 5-Guys, Johnny Rockets, and Culvers. And then there are the burgers I make at home. |
I dunno, my doctor wont let me eat them any more - sigh... no one ever told me getting old would happen so fast!

American Legend has burgers on Mondays.

I agree that square 1 has a good burger. Of course it took me 5 times before I got to try one they have so many good things on their menu
|
Square one is good and also Too Jays
|
I do.
If you mean which restaurants have the best burgers, I'd say most of them are pretty good, and they mostly taste the same. The only significant difference I could find was the choice of bun/bread and the topping options. |
Palmer Legends Country Club - Spirits and Fine Dining - The Villages Florida
I have not had one of their burgers since before 2020 but recall it was very good. Pricey even then though. |
I hear Miller's ale house is good.

Gourmet Burgers | Omaha Steaks
Buy some of these and you would probably have the best burgers at home while here in the Villages. |
Not in TV but in 16 years never found a better burger than Terry’s Sports Bar and Grill in Ocala.
|
It’s ground beef 80-20 or 90-10 about a 1/3 of a pound flatten it place it on your home grill Lettuce Tomato and onion raw or grilled on a nice roll. Mine are as good as some of the $12 to $16 I see on menus in TV. There going on the grill in about 30min

There is a burger place called Burger-Fi that I always stop by in Gainsville and there was a recent posting that one is opening up here near the Trailwinds mall in Wildwood. Great burgers and shakes also I've been told they have great Veg-burgers though one has never touched my lips.

The burgers on top of the Bloody Mary's at RJ Gators in Sumter Square.

I have always enjoyed Palmer's burger. Recently, I've found the burgers at Farmshed in Spanish Springs outstanding.
|
There are no charbroiled 1/2 lb burgers in the Villages which is my preference. Most listings are for greasy burgers and that might be your choice. I would say the Chop House if I had to choose.

I agree, everybody will have their opinion! Just try several different places.

LOL, at my age I think my Dr. told me to quit eating because everything I told him I liked he said that was bad for ME for one reason or another. I eat a lot of chicken. Because everything else is bad for my blood pressure, cholesterol or glucose.

Surprising, but they have one of the top 3 cheeseburgers I have had going back to 1993: 1. Margaritaville, Orlando, 1993: had gravy on it with onions and Swiss cheese. 2. Twin Peaks Hilton, Phoenix 2005: seasoned beef patties and exceptional condiments. 2. Bonefish Grill, Merritt Island, 2012 and current: still top notch Kobe beef. I have had many GREAT burgers in my life, but these were the BEST, and hard to finish eating just because I knew they would be gone when I did! :icon_wink: |
In and Out burgers are great just a bit of a drive to get there for dinner
|
Glenview has a pretty good burger.

Best Burgers, Best Price
One of the best burgers, and a real bargain, is at Steak and Shake on 466 in front of Walmart.
All burgers are cooked to order, in sight (company logo is "In sight, it must be right"). Buns are toasted. French fries are very thin "shoestrings". The shakes are hand-made and are award winners. Sadly, due to the reduction in staff there is no longer table service and some favorites, such as the pot of baked beans, are not currently available. The preparation is the same as it was in the 1930's when Gus Belt founded the chain in Bloomington, IL. Many of us would have starved when in college if not for Steak and Shake. The kicker is that Steak and Shake has not raised its prices. Not only do you get a superior product, it is a bargain. The double cheeseburger combo with fries and a soft drink costs, roughly, $8.70 including tax! Be certain to ask for the "pepper" bottle to sprinkle on the burger. It is a small bottle stuffed with very mild peppers in vinegar. Frankly, ground black pepper is probably hotter. However, it sure seemed exotic and daring in the Mid-West in the 1950's! Also, enjoy looking at the old photos on the walls of the restaurants, cars, and carhops from the 1950's. |
