Relax. Enjoy the ride. |
Popular road to avoid Rolling Acres or Morse. I can’t blame residents living on that road for wanting speed enforcement, their residential neighborhood has become an automobile cut through.

If someone chooses to drive slower than that, then that is their decision, not yours Likewise, if someone chooses to break the speed limit and gets caught and fined then they have no right to complain - of course they think they are superb drivers and the law doesn't apply to them, but that's not the way it works, and we should all be grateful for that |

And if you are only capable of driving a car 20 mph in a 45 mph zone, you need to turn in your drivers license. I'm pretty sure I was behind you today/ |

Thankful for lady lake police, drivers coming around the corners like they are at Indy, hopefully little Villagers on walkers won’t be a statistic, slowdown and enjoy the ride please!

Wish there was an officer on every street, but criminals never like the police.

Paragraph 2. Making judgments about other drivers with out knowing all the facts is just plain foolish and can lead to making dangerous decisions. Like tailgating, dangerous passing, etc. |
Chula Vista avenue has always been cut off from 466 and to 466. Even before all the expanded development. LEO occasional monitors. Most of use been here while know not to speed when cutting through. Same with Rio grande ave, use to be self proclaimed resident LEO monitor with radar gun harassing speeders on Rio Grande few years ago. Haven’t heard or seen him in while, but I don’t travel over there much anymore.

Never buy a house on any short cut, or through route, for cars or carts.

Please enforce traffic laws--We are getting too much enforcement
People either request enforcement or don't want it. You can't have it both ways. The adage don't commit a traffic infraction no ticket, makes sense.
|
More than 15 years between the 6’s police presence was few and far between. Living off a busy road we might see a SC sheriff every 10 days.
South of 44 not only do you frequently see a patrol car, they actually write tickets. This morning’s 4-5am outing was no different than any other, passing 3 patrol car. Today I will see 1-2 cars pass through our village, sometimes stopping and chatting, or a wave. For us It was one of the determining factors of moving south. |
I hope these were 3 different drivers
|
Good to hear.. We need for enforcement in The Villages

1.Lady Lake had announced along with othet counties that there would be a Speeding Crack down.
2. The Villages is not exempt from following laws ( even if you think you are). 3.The population is increasing Traffic increasing. Accidents happening more and more. Thank-you sheriff's for doing your job. |
Well, the people complained and now they have to deal with the ramifications.
|
Personally, I favor speed enforcement. Autos and golf carts mixed on streets…speed limits should be the maximum, not the minimum. Slower autos equals safer golf carts. (Same goes for golf carts too)

I think this the street. Unless you live in that area, most people would never use it.
I would think that 99% of the people going north or south from Spanish Springs use Morse. |
That's awesome! About time LEO does something about the morons who think they don't need to heed the speed limits. Morse and Buena Vista are turning into speedways. Putting a full time cop out there would address the problem, stop more drunks and drug users and pay for itself with the revenue it would generate. Also, way too many idiots driving souped up golf carts that are not made to go over 20MPH. Leave earlier, slow down and try to enjoy life.

Because you getting three is impossible, one stop takes more then 10 minutes Not sure what you are stating here |
I was going 25 on Rio Grande one afternoon and an impatient sole decided to pass me. Of course it only took 30 seconds or so for me to pull up behind him because he was waiting for the light at Morse Boulevard to change. In the grand scheme of things even going 5 mph faster on the turnpike doesn’t get you there that much faster but the slight advantage of going 5 mph faster on Rio Grande is even less.
|
I’m one of those clowns that requested increase enforcement. Been actually passed by one vehicle that speed was in excess of 50 MPH. Too many drivers from the 466 apartments using Chula Vista as a cut thru. Increased in the last three years.
