What's Wrong With Some People??
 
My wife was driving south on Canal today just past the Virginia Trace gate. It was around noon. A couple in their 70s had pulled their golf cart over to the side and the wife was on the grass, on her hands / knees, vomiting profusely. My wife pulled over as far as she could, put on the blinkers and stopped to ask the husband if he needed help. He said this was the third time she had vomited today. My wife asked if he was aware of the urgent care center in LSL. He said no thanks but he would take her to a doctor in Summerfield later today. Apparently, no big deal to him was my wife's reaction .

in the meantime the lady in a car behind my wife, and who could see what was going on ... got very agitated at having to stop and made gestures towards my wife who then waved her around. I guess this whole incident was interfering with her social schedule?

Thank you for having the concern to stop and query about the situation you observed. As for the the "lady" behind your wife ... I can't say what I would like to.

The good news to me is that you and your wife are among the vast majority of Villagers who truly care about your neighbors.

It takes all kinds. Ignore the lady who had no consideration for anyone but herself. She's not worth thinking about.

As for the man, this may be an ongoing problem with his (wife?). She may be under treatment that caused this situation and he is just used to it. I'm sure he is just stressed with his wife's problem and is probably very thankful that a caring villager was concerned. You are a kind person.

To answer your question. Some people fall into the category of, "it's all about me". They are in their own little world and can't see past their nose. Their is no big opicture of life, except what is happening, to them.

I would recommend a quick can I help and then move on as not to interfere with the flow of traffic. 911 comes to mind also. What would you have done for the lady anyway, since her husband was there. Blocking the road could have caused a serious accident.

Every where you go you will find a self centered person. The Villages are no exception. Thanks for your concern and ignore the lady.

I disagree. There are road workers all the time stopped along the road. Traffic can accommodate. Stopping long enough to offer help sounds like what she was doing.

We never know what we can do to help until we ask. I would think vehicles could see the blinkers and go around without any interruption of their time. Thank God there are caring people in this world !!

Sometimes a loved one can panic in these types of situations.

I wouldn't want to be the one that quickly stops and quickly leaves.

I am so very thankful there are so many caring folks that are willing to get involved.

To say to you sir, I would have stopped and helped. For safety reasons, your car has brakes and if you don't know how to use them, then don't drive! Thank you to the people that were concerned. And for the person that lost it, well shame on you!!! Praise The Lord for kind and thoughtful people. :pray:

Good for you and your wife. Villages helping Villages - great concept and may it continue to flourish.

Maybe Mrs. Allimportant was late for a pool walking get-together with her ilk.
