Has anyone switched to Direct TV ?

Just wondering if anyone has switched from cable to Direct TV? Are you satisfied with the service? If you switched ,who do you use for internet and phone? Have you had any problem with reception?

We have Direct because we don't like Dish and we're used to Direct in our other home. In Florida Direct partners with centurylink for internet and phone. I believe phone is free for 12 mos if you do the internet with centuryling. There's also a discount for the partnering. We're satisfied with it totally.

We did have Xfinity in the home we rented and that was fine also and that included wifi.
Hope this helps.

Been with DirecTV for 10+ yrs, won't consider anyone else. Actually, my husband won't consider anyone else, due to the great sports coverage.
We have a great picture, and excellent service.
We don't have home phone service. As mentioned by an earlier poster, they partner with Centurylink and have great internet service. Very happy with direcTV!!

Had it from the get-go. No problems of any kind. The choices down here are putrid to begin with so it's a matter of picking the best of the worst.

I also have Direct-TV and century link. No problems at all with reception.

Prior to moving to TV we had DirecTV but decided to go with Comcast here due to the local channels. After 2 1/2 months dealing with defective equipment and broken promises I fired Comcast last week and went back to DirecTV. We do not have a landline phone and use Verizon for mobile and internet. May look into Century Link at some point but for now do not see any reason to change over just for internet.

We switched to Direct almost 2 years ago and may switch again. it does go out whenit is stormy or even very cloudy; usually for a short period, 2/3 hours but you can watch taped shows then. we still have a land line and internet from century link.

look in the AAA magazine. there is I think a $200 discount

I switched to DirecTV and love it.

We had issues with Prism TV so switched to Directv 3 years ago. We are very satisfied. Takes a pretty big storm to lose picture and doesn't last long. We are happy with Centurylink Internet! No phone!

We have had DirecTV for over a decade. Down here we have never had it go out for more than a few minutes, and always that was during a horrendous thunderstorm. Cloudy days don't affect our reception at all.

We wouldn't switch anyway, because of NFL Ticket and Extra Innings. But we're very satisfied with DirecTV.

We use Magic Jack for phone line and Comcast for internet. DSL is too slow for our liking.

DirecTV is the best choice. Does go out for short times during storms but if when setting up you put the regular definition channels and the hi definition channels on the guide, the regular rarely go out even during storms.

I have DirecTV and when it was installed the installer told me that when the signal goes out due to the weather, it is only the HD telecasts. The channels that broadcast in HD also have SD. I have switched to the SD version of the channels when the signal goes out and have always been able to watch SD.

I agree,,, if the weather is bad enough for me to loose signal, I usually turn it all off anyway. But I can change to the SD version of the channel and usually get the channel.
But I do Love Me Some DirecTV...
