police support

How about if everyone that supports the police in this war of radical cop haters burns a blue light in their post lamp to show that the villagers care

What a great Idea!

Great idea! What does it cost, TV residents, to show your support of LEO's, less than $10? Or how about this, pick up their tab if you see them come into a restaurant, I always do. Pay forward to them what's been paid forward to you.

JGVillages 12-24-2014 10:06 AM

Great idea. Pay it forward.

I love your ideas! So many men and women risk their lives to protect us and I am grateful for their service.

Where can you buy a blue light or is there a way to make one?

villagetinker 12-24-2014 10:52 AM

A few questions:

1. Do CFL bulbs come in colors?

2. Wouldn't this idea have to be promoted more widely in order to be effective?

3. If someone doesn't have a blue bulb, would that mean they don't support the police?

villagetinker 12-24-2014 02:42 PM

1. Yes, CFL come in colors I have I have seen red, green, orange, blue and yellow. These are usually sold as "party lights".
2. You have start somewhere, let's consider this the start.
3. I went with a blue ribbon on our lamp post, as I could not find any blue CFL lamps, looks like they were sold out.

Don't the BLUE lights signify something already. I thought is had to do with the location of life saving devices. If I'm off base, please correct me. I see a couple of BLUE lamp post lights in my neighborhood.

Not necessarily. A lot of people don't read TOTV to see ideas like this.

Blue bulbs are the traditional symbol of support for the Autism community. The annual campaign is for the month of April - Light It Up Blue.

Go back to the thread of November 15, 2014, and re-read all the very negative postings of the police on the thread entitled "Traffic Citation For Incomplete Stop."

Are the feelings still the same toward police now as then?
