Ugly Incident

Went to the Brownwood Dunkin Doughnuts this morn @ 6:30. There was an employee dispute that was way out of control-on the verge of getting violent. The police were called.

Several customers and myself walked out--The store has changed ownership & I will avoid it for awhile, I'll give them a chance to get their act together. I carry a weapon & I make it an absolute must to avoid all any conflicts.

Great idea,in the "spirit of the season", to not blow away any employees or customers . That would ruin the entire holiday.

Cops I have known are never very far away from a donut shop anyway.

Why would you publicize that ?

Isn't that about 15 feet from the Wildwood Police Department satellite office near Barnstorm Theater or is that store something else?

Because a lot of people who have CCW permits must remember they are not law enforcement officers, & if they are carrying they have to stay out of the fray, unless its a matter of life & death

I don't know that there was a need to post this on here.

You are exactly right! Unless it is a situation that threatens your life or someone else's it is best to walk away or at least observe from a distance.
You did the right thing.

CCP also.

Appropriate conduct in personally non-threatening situations was always stressed in the courses I took. Not all people should carry, even if considered legal. Being legal does not mean you should be an "enforcer".

I call them
Glock and spiels. [how's that polar?]

jblum315 12-26-2015 04:57 PM

I am so glad that you restrained yourself and did not shoot anyone in an incident that was basically none of your business.

Another winner regardless of what Polar thinks. I was beginning to think he had begun his hibernation.

Some may ask why you would carry your pistol to the donut store at 6:30 in the morning?

I would just assume it is in the event you find a donut without a hole already in the center.
