The new Athens restaurant in lady lake on 441. They used to be in Spanish Springs. They have a great weck.
The owners are originally from Rochester NY.

I though it was a typo until I saw weck in the message body too. Thank you google...I now know what a weck is and it looks good!

Another vote for Mc Calls in Spanish Springs -------- for some extra fun ? go on Sunday when there is a Bills Game . They are the HQ for all of us long suffering Bills fans .

We all know rather then the stacked roast beef you would rather see a pile of goetta on that roll. Probably would want a five-way for lunch the next day as well.

This is good info...! Love beef on wecks! Some of the best I've had were from the Pol-a-Dot in Batavia NY, my hometown. over 30 years ago it was my wife's pregnancy craving.....They had one ready for her almost every night for months. The Dr was worried about all the salt, but her ankles never swelled, so it was ok.

I'm told that if you ask ahead of time, Publix can make you Kimmelweck rolls.....they know how and I'm told you can order them.

Whenever I am back home, I also bring back gallons of Chevetta's....but I do not want to change the subject.

Chevetta`s is a business for hire which supplies Bar-B-Qued chicken onsite for numerous charity fundraising events .

They are well known in Western NY for their " special sauce "
which is available for purchase in local supermarkets up there .

Unfortunately for Bears fans the two teams do not meet this season . Otherwise it would be a Bears win .
