Panicbuying begins

I was on my way home from Ocala and was going to get gas.
Two staions on 466 out of gas. Two stations on 301 lines down the street.

Came home to have a cigar and a bourbon!!

:icon_bored:

(and the snow birds are not here yet)!!!!

My husband just came home grumbling that Marathon in Pinellas was price gouging - selling only hi-test gas for an exorbitant amount. Opinion and hearsay only, but he was definitely fuming.....

Thats why we keep ours topped off.

When I went by the gas station at Pinellas, I noticed for regular, they were 10 cents a gallon more than Murphy, but you are saying they were out of regular.
If, in fact, they were gouging, there are laws against doing that, especially if they turned off their regular gas.
Report them, if that is the case.

I would guess from the lines and areas all reporting everyone is gassing up that they ran out of regular, but I am a glass half full person. And I am from Ohio.

And the lines are not a Bonanza. People will need to refuel when they run out just as usual.

My husband was at Southern Trace shopping area last night and a laldy who had just moved here came up to him in a panic and asked where she could buy gas. Poor woman, what an introduction to Florida - baptism by fire!:22yikes:

another thing and probably the most important.....have cash available.

when the power goes out. credit cards are of no use....

you will need the green paper money....

Tip of the day...leave the "bubble" and you will find the sky is not falling. Plenty of gas, regular prices, and no lines. Just left the Sunoco at 44 and 301. Same as the Shell located across the intersection.

Now's the time to invest in canned goods and shotguns!

after reading all the doom and gloom here, went to Publix this morning in Mulberry Grove and found that they were out of nothing! Had everything I needed including wine and water (the essentials)!
