the conservatives despised Obama but they respected the position of the president. They resisted but it was through the channels laid down by the founders. Your hero, Donald Trump, denied the total legitimacy of the President for 8 years. He had press conferences to say so. Even when confronted with the truth, he held a press conference to say he KNEW he was not legitimate in any way.
