Woodbury or Fenney - Woodbury wins

I posted a while back about trying to decide between these two locations. The cabana villas (wood frame/vinyl) we were interested in at Fenney weren't for sale yet. That happens next week. However we finally decided we prefer the cement villas at Phillips Villas in Woodbury. Everything is there now, groceries, a few restaurants (and a soon to be built Cody's) as well as the Mulberry Rec Center, health care and golf cart accessibility. The only disappointment we had was the house in Phillips we looked at on Tuesday and have been admiring online for a couple of months was listed as sold right before we were planning to call the realtor to tell him we would buy it. Such is life I guess. Anyway we found another one, a little more money of course, on an outside wall bordering designer homes (for a little extra privacy) that was almost as nice and we put a deposit down on it and will close at the end of the month. We talked to a couple of residents including our future neighbor about Phillips Villas and they absolutely love it. We're pretty excited. We'll soon be joining the ranks of Villagers although only part-time at first. Tough to convince the wife to go full-time with our children and grandchildren up north. Thanks again for all the helpful advice.

Enjoy and welcome.......remember you can grab some great flights north when the kid and grand kid need (or guilt) kicks in. Of course I'm sure they will be anxious to visit here....lots to do for the next generations.

These two choices are in different time zones, much less zip codes. However, you will be tickled pink with your selection. Congratulations. [emoji324]

Fenney is something that is going to happen down the road, Mullberry is happening right now. At our ages, it more important for something to happen right now, who knows what tomorrow may bring. I believe you made the right choice, it's the one I would of made. We live in a masonry CYV and it is great!

Depends on your age, I guess... many many Villagers are in their 50's...

I think it's best to live for the present rather than just for the future. I was diagnosed with a heart murmur in 2014 and I was just recently at my cardiologist and he said, my mitral valve is at a point that if it gets any worse they'll have to replace it. Unlike a aorta valve that can they can replace with catherization, this would require open heart surgery.

I had been collecting ads for 4K TVs for the past 6 months watching the price go down. So when I got back from the VA Hospital in Gainesville, I went to Best Buy and bought a Samsung 75" HD 4K TV, and right before that I bought a new 2017 black Subaru Crosstrek. I thought, might never see these things unless I get them now. My wife, she got a new LG washer and dryer and we got new living room furniture, leather love seat and 2 recliners.

John. I sincerely wish you only the best and hope you can stay healthy and live life to the fullest for as long as you grace this Earth. I am sorry to hear of your troubles... Rae
