Fenney shopping center?

When I was in the Fenney Sales Center last week, an employee of TV mentioned that there's word out about a shopping center on the far side of Red Fox and Gray Fox golf courses. He mentioned that it's supposed to be the largest shopping center in TV to date. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

hope the rumor is true since the development down there will certainly support and need it. We were in the area this past week (went to the grill for lunch YUM!) and were amazed at how quickly the development was going.

Can you describe where "the far side of Red Fox and Gray Fox golf courses" is located?

I have not heard anything about "the largest shopping center in TV to date."

I do know that various conceptual plans have shown shopping areas scattered throughout the thousands of acres that will be developed. I also know that plans may change over time.

There is a ton of commercial land down here, across from Red Fox get's into Coleman and they did buy land over there.

Lots of empty space in brownwood square. Would think you try and fill up that firsr

Brownwood will fill out as the population grows down here.

Would be great if there was a route from Osceola to Brownwood that didn't require a fide north to go west to go south :)

Rumor is that Publix has committed to a store along with other shopping at the 301 and Morse intersection

Will be fun to learn and watch.

Seems a bit of a questionable statement for a TV employee. The attached image is from the Master Plan for VOF given to the City of Wildwood dated 3/31/2017 that shows the commercial area at the US301/CR468 intersection. Not exactly a large area and the remainder of the areas west of RF/GF is all typical Villages residential units. One eye catcher when you look a the legend for the plan, "Com" is identified as Commercial/Multi-Family, so who knows what it will really be in end. As far as being the largest, not even close...

Personally, I wouldn't give too much credit from anyone in the sales department as they're not likely in the loop for what the plans are long term for TV. How many have heard about the impending "build out" from the sales staff in the last 10-15 years when publicly available documents clearly show growth plans from that far back showing plans for development for districts 9, 10, and 11.

I'm pretty sure that the sales staff is told to use the old sales adage of "SWAT" - Sell What's Available Today.

Since 301 and Morse don't intersect, I would stop repeating that rumor. The south end of Morse ends at Rt. 44.

In the early summer I believe they purchased acreage in Coleman, several large parcels that are west of the golf courses, this might be what the sales rep. was referring to with his pre-mature disclosure. The commercial area on 468 near the turnpike will most likely be similar to shopping at Colony or Rohan, a much smaller area that is being discussed here. It is all rumors but with 26,000 homes building built major shopping areas will be down here somewhere.

If you look at a map, it's about 3 miles as the crow flies from Fennyey to Brownwood.

I would think that once the area in between has been developed, there will be cart paths linking them. I have heard that there will be either tunnels under or a bridge over both the turnpike and Rte 44.

There is a Publix and several other stores adjacent to Brownwood and I would expect them to be the main shopping area for the villages south of route 44.

It never made sense to me that a town square would be built on the edge of The Villages. Now it makes sense.
