Yard ornaments and junk
How can it be that yard ornaments are wisely not allowed, but yet an owner can have an entire yard chock full of about 50 different, scroungy cactus plants that look like a big junkyard??
Why are neighbors and guests made to look at such an eyesore, right on the street and sidewalk? It’s a community embarrassment! |

a) nobody has complained to ARC; or B) this is acceptable after complaints were made? |
I'll vote for "B". Looks kinda like the Southwest, kinda neat.:coolsmiley:

The one on Odel. It looks like crap.

I think it’s exempt since it’s the home’s backyard. I agree, looks terrible.

I love the look, reminds me of Arizona

I live near the house with the cactus and I like it. I think all the different cactus are interesting and I like the containers.

"Eyesore" is in the eye of the beholder. I don't think you can complain about cactus. You might complain if they are not being kept well.

I’m cracking up [emoji23]

I’ve had a home in Scottsdale since 2003. The last thing my neighbors or I would install is a cactus. They are a scorpion, tarantula and insect hotel. Cactus is what builders put in for the snowbirds that don’t know any better. Like putting a palm tree up against the house. A Floridian knows that’s a rat ladder, a snowbird learns that the hard way.
