IF you'd want a meal at home, you can order a full meal from Publix....we did this last year and had LOTS of left-overs. You will have to warm it though but that's easier than an actual prep.

Go on a cruise and let somebody else do the cooking/serving.....we are!!

If you don't mind going a little outside TV, they have a great Thanksgiving buffet at Harbor Hills CC

Went to Nancy Lopez last year. Worst $35 dinner I ever had. Due to a subsequent prediabetes diagnosis, this year we’ll probably be cooking a turkey breast and veggies at home.

We always smoke a turkey wrapped in thick bacon with a citrus stuffing--great

The list of people I know who were OK diabetes wise before they moved here and were diagnosed as Prediabetic grows by one more. Maybe its the water? Something is rotten in Denmark!

Diagnosed in December 2017 in RI, six months after buying in The Villages. Probably a blessing in disguise. Changed my diet to eat healthy. Lost 30 pounds. My energy levels are what they were 20 years ago. Still go out to eat a couple times a week but selective in my choices. Still drink beer but low carb Mich Ultra.

And refused doctor’s suggestion re prescription medication.

Mission Inn in Howey-in-the-Hills has an unbelievable brunch. Only drawback, it's about 30 min away.

We had a decent meal at Cody's in Brownwood on Thanksgiving the year before last. We were just down for the week, moving a trailer-load of stuff into the house a few months before we retired and weren't able to cook much of a Thanksgiving dinner on our own so we went out. It was a gorgeous day and a nice meal. It wasn't a buffet, but then we weren't looking to stuff ourselves. I would imagine they'll be doing something similar this year, as will most restaurants in the area.
