Love taking the cart in any season.

It's better after 6 when it cools down.

I do not go out in my cart in June, July or August.

Lived in Florida over 20 years and still struggle with the heat. :ohdear:

You'll at least have a breeze if you go fast enough!

The first time we rented we deliberately rented June-August to see how we’d cope with H & H. We only had the golf cart. It was fine, yes hot but you acclimatise & I would wear a cap to keep my hair from frizzing. Rarely would we feel uncomfortable. During the hottest months you adjust your day by the H & H. Also the humidity does fluctuate throughout the day we found.

You get used to it. Riding in the cart is no hotter than going outside anywhere in the same heat.

They sell carts with ac.

We never take the car unless it’s raining or leaving the villages. Always the cart

Riding in the cart isn't uncomfortable as there is always a breeze from moving. SOME people do put a battery/fan in theirs but not that many. I would say golfing during the heat of the day would be uncomfortable. Also, during the "rainy season"---you probably don't want to be caught in that while in your cart. One summer, I thought I could make it home before the rains broke but instead they came up quickly (so much so, I didn't have time to put down the sunbrella sides) so was soaked through by the time I got home. Soaked, as in "IF" I'd jumped into the pool with my clothing on.

Thousands of golfers in them every day for a couple hours at a time.

Thx for all the responses - much appreciated. I think a shorter haircut might be in order. I originally posted this message last month under Time Spent In Golf Carts but I think it got lost in the technicalities of gas vs electric. We'll tackle that issue next but I was glad to see that there is an option for A/C or a fan in a cart (the hair thing again : ) Hubby and I will be there in a couple of weeks - looking forward to it!

There is no "option" for A/C in a "regular" golf cart, you have to get a cart that comes with A/C and so far the only ones around here are electric and they are great. My wife loves 'em. We have had 2. Here is just 1 example, I believe there are 1 or 2 others that are similar: Atomic Cool Kartz - Home | Facebook

I really DO NOT want to get into a gas vs electric discussion so let's just leave this as 1 example of an electric golf cart with air-cond, heat. wipers etc. It gets me ~65 miles with 20% use of A/C on a charge and 70+ with no A/C and has lithium batteries. Yes, I wear steel plated underwear for those who think they will explode. :D
