Lessons for Tall Golfer
I'm thinking about taking golf lessons. I've never had a lesson so I don't have any experience with such things. I'm what might be considered a fair golfer, right about a 10 handicap if that matters. But I've decided I would like to try to up my game a bit.
Probably the most unique thing about me and my swing is that I'm 6'-6" tall. Does anybody have any recommendations for a good teacher? And it would be especially desirable if one of those good teachers might have some expertise specific to being a tall golfer. Thanks for any input. :) |
Polar Bear, you sound a lot like me, I am an OK tall golfer (12 handicap) who never took a lesson and finally decided it was time. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. Call The Villages golf academy and book a lesson with Craig Griffin (he works out of the Sarasota facility). He helped me tremendously, you won't regret it.

If I was self taught, and playing to a 10-12 handicap, I would leave my game ecactly where it was.

Nice Job on creating something and getting to a 10. All of my lessons have been up North, but My Bride took a lesson at Sarasota, I watched and they were pretty good. I would recommend. |

WOW, a 10 handicap and you are worried about lessons. How about you pay me and give me lessons. Just keep practicing your short game and putting and leave your swing alone.

And also, you can take lessons for the short game without even touching your full swing. :) |
