Unbelievable escalation of inner city killings...and...shh>silence.

.
.
.
.
63 people were shot, 16 fatally between 6 p.m. Friday and 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
Three of those fatal shootings victims were minors, police said.

The KILLINGS CONTINUE - Syria? Iraq? Afghanistan? Yemen?

NOPE>>> Chicago

I was born/raised in the city - B on B violence has always been a very sad problem.
BUT...now - inner city Chicago USA is our Kabul Afghanistan.

Every week - new records of killings. Every week, virtual silence, esp by Minority Leaders. Where are THEY? Oh yeah - at Black Lives Matter rallies. Yeah - BLM if a law enforcement officer is involved. If it's their gangs or bros, shhhh. Hard to believe that so many of our minority people need to live (or die) in crime-ridden areas as that. One solution = Defund Police. That should do it.

WHEN will this unbelievable issue get the Media notoriety and Community action it deserves? until then...shhhh.

The world we live in, ok to kill your neighbors but if one cop does something wrong the world explodes

John41 07-05-2020 09:53 AM

No one, especially the media, wants to acknowledge the actual problem.

Kenswing 07-05-2020 10:44 AM

And the weekend isn't even over yet..

dewilson58 07-05-2020 10:44 AM

One of many reasons BLM is a joke.

Now we have Red LM, Yellow LM.

Divide, Divide, Divide.

A reasonable conclusion, based on your data, is that Black lives really don't matter if it's black on black crime in Chicago.

Does anyone think that conclusion is "racist?" Be interested to hear why if that's the case.

And in South Carolina. No mention of race but there was a popular rapper everyone came out to see in violation of the state's Covid rules, so I'm guessing it wasn't an NRA get together..
2 dead, 8 injured in nightclub shooting

Quote:

Two people are dead and eight people have been injured after a shooting at a South Carolina nightclub early Sunday morning.

The incident took place at Lavish Lounge in Greenville, South Carolina, just before 2 a.m. on Sunday morning when a Greenville County sheriff’s deputies saw a large commotion outside the establishment and called for backup due to “active gunfire from inside the building, according to Greenville County Sheriff’s spokesperson Lt. Jimmy Bolt.
Quote:

According to Sheriff Hobart Lewis, there were several hundred people inside the nightclub at the time of the shooting which was a direct violation of Governor Henry McMaster’s executive order restricting nightclubs and any type of concert.
Quote:

A post on Lavish Lounge's Facebook page advertised a July 4 performance by trap rapper Foogiano.

Sheriff Lewis confirmed that a group was performing at the time of the incident and that band members were involved in shooting.

Here is something Jesse Jackson said, “There is nothing more painful to me … than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery, then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved.”

There have been dozens and dozens of threads started by a cadre of people on totv, all pointing to the deaths in Chicago or other cities under the category of black on black crime. Here is another thread on the same theme. Claiming that BLM is a joke, that their focus is in the wrong place that if they cared about Black lives they'd do something about Chicago.

BLM has a very specific focus. It was founded to shine a light on violence by the government against their community. The organization is not there to investigate street crime. There is a police force to do that. But there was seemingly no one holding police accountable for their actions. In fact it was apparent to many there was a blue wall of silence where cops didn't break the code of silence. Their omerta.

From one of the BLM websites [there is no single BLM organization it is not centralized but is local chapters loosely working to the same goal]

Black Lives Matter began as a call to action in response to state-sanctioned violence and anti-Black racism. Our intention from the very beginning was to connect Black people from all over the world who have a shared desire for justice to act together in their communities. The impetus for that commitment was, and still is, the rampant and deliberate violence inflicted on us by the state.

When criminal commit crimes that is a police issue. When police commit crimes that is a whole different problem. It is the abuse of force by those sworn to protect and serve that is the focus, and a necessary focus as evidenced by so many videos now widely seen, that some police are using excessive force. There was just another case where 2 cops tasered a victim to death. Over 50 shocks were given. In this case their victim was a white naked male who per news reports never made an aggressive move toward the cops, who violated department policy in this murder.

BML is shining a light on the ugly dark truth that there are cops who are poorly trained, who are bullies, who don't belong on the force, who are racists. Many, not all, of the victims of these bad cops have been POC. Holding the state responsible for actions of the state is the mission of BLM. Lots of organizations have narrow missions even when there are larger problems. Is the American Cancer Society bad because it ignores that more people die from heart disease? Is the Komen foundation bad because more women die from lung cancer than breast cancer?

BLM is focused on one issue in the Black community. Deaths and violence caused by the state. All it takes is some good cops to stop the bad ones. Even if the good cops get punished by the system.

You lose me when you neglect to point that one of the biggest wants of blm is defunding police.

If blm would support family values of blacks that would be a lot more helpful imho.

Not to mention if you dont want to do time dont do the crime.

Less criminal activity less encounters with the police

All very noble sounding except ...

1. Blacks commit more crimes that whites per capita, hence they have more interactions with police.

2. More blacks are killed by blacks, by far, that rogue or racist cops

3. BLM is basically a front for cultural Marxism and the strategic objective IMO is to replace the "culture of 1776" with the "culture of 1619."

BLM co-founder describes herself as 'trained Marxist'

4. In other words, BLM and their white-guilt liberal supporters, generally speaking, hate America as founded and are determined to change it or torch it depending on the level of adventurousness, age and inclination to break the law.

That's why they topple not just Confederate statues but also Columbus, Lincoln, Grant, abolitionists, Francis Scott Key etc etc etc. In other words, anything that's tied to Western Civilization. One of the BLM leaders stated about a week ago the "white Jesus and his European Mother" need to go or words to that effect.

This is not that hard to figure out.

BLM movement started after Trayvon Martin got shot while beating Zimmerman's head against the pavement. Jury ruled not guilty on all counts after the evidence was revealed.

Then they got on the "hands up don't shoot" bandwagon which turned out to be a complete lie. This is when BLM shot to national fame. Brown wasn’t surrendering and didn’t say don’t shoot. And he wasn’t a victim of police misconduct. Rather than the “Gentle Giant” he was portrayed at in the media, he sucker punched Wilson while Wilson sat in his police car, tried to grab Wilson’s service pistol, and was shot when he charged Wilson a second time.

A jury may convict some Police of something in Floyd's case, we'll have to see when all the evidence is produced and a jury sees it. We don't convict people in this country solely from videos.

State sponsored racism or violence towards blacks is not systemic, its a miniscule problem compared to black crime statistics and black on black violence. Those problems are truly systemic and are caused by blacks themselves.
